The Giro d'Italia 2014 opened with a 21.7km Team Time Trial in Belfast, Ireland. The late afternoon racing was threatened by rain and wind, but SRM sponsored team, Orica-GreenEdge, found themselves with the right conditions and team power to win the stage in a time of 24:42.

With a lot of runners moving to mid or forefoot running its important to remember that the focus should be on where the foot lands and not how the foot lands. Landing under your hip, increasing cadence, increasing hip extension and leaning your upper body forward are better cues than just trying to avoid a heel strike.

Assessing only a link in the chain and not the whole chain when treating dysfunction won't get the job done. ie; don't underestimate the role of the big toe, metatarsals and ankle complex and how they influence loading of the gluteals when treating hip dysfunction.
