❤️Yesterday I had the privilege of delivering 11244NAT Course in Mental Health Support for First Responders for the incredible team of Psychosocial Recovery Coach’s (PRC) and .

The day was filled with vital discussions and the sharing of personal stories around trauma and culturally informed care, empathy, self care and gaining a deeper understanding of various mental health disorders.

We consolidated our skills and knowledge by acting out some role plays - using tools to help us identifying concern vs crisis in mental health care.

The team felt empowered to be able to support each other and their clients when they require mental health support and guidance.

Misty from an expert palliative care nurse with deep experience in walking alongside loss, gently holds this grief circle with compassion and care.

There are spaces we enter not to fix what’s broken, but to simply hold what aches. This is one of those spaces — offering quiet support, understanding, and the freedom to be exactly where you are in your grief.

Here, tenderness is strength. Here, your grief is not rushed or reshaped. It is simply allowed.

Whether you feel ready to share or just need a place to sit among others who understand, you are welcome.
You are not alone ❤️‍🩹

🚨 Would you know what to do if someone collapsed but was still breathing?

The recovery position can save a life — and it’s simpler than you think 👇

1️⃣ Arm out, other hand to cheek
2️⃣ Bend the knee
3️⃣ Roll them away from you
4️⃣ Tilt the head back, mouth down

✔️ Keeps the airway open
✔️ Prevents choking
✔️ Buys critical time until help arrives

👉 If they’re not breathing — start CPR immediately.

This is one of those skills you hope you never need… but when you do, it matters.

❤️ Want your team confident in real emergencies, not just ticking a box?
Let’s get you trained with real-world, hands-on first aid.

I’m so grateful to the Noosa Chamber of Commerce for the opportunity to be part of this week’s Sunset Conversations 🌅

Highlight of the night was recognising the fabulous Chris Harris from Ord Minnet from my kindy & primary school days in Sydney.
How special is this ❤️

It was such a privilege to showcase my business, Queen of Hearts Training along side Ord Minnet and connect with so many incredible local businesses. I’m passionate about supporting our community with safety, compliance, and emergency readiness.

At the heart of every business are its people — and I truly believe we all have a responsibility to ensure our teams and clients are safe, prepared, and supported when it matters most.

If you’re ready to strengthen your workplace safety and feel more confident in an emergency, I’d love to connect 🤝

Community matters more than ever in today’s world — it’s what keeps us connected and gives us a sense of belonging.

I’m incredibly honoured to support the Noosa Pirates as a sponsor, First Aid Officer, and Coordinator. Through this role, I help keep the club safe by coordinating defibrillators across all sites, reviewing first aid kits, delivering life saving training and supporting our dedicated first aid officers in their vital roles.

It’s a privilege to be part of a club that truly looks after its people. 💛

👉 If your club or workplace wants to be better prepared, reach out — I’d love to help you build a safer, more confident team.

In a world where healthcare is constantly evolving, staying clinically active isn’t optional—it’s essential.

As a trainer, I believe strongly that industry currency matters. That’s why I continue working in ICU and Emergency. It keeps my skills sharp, my knowledge current, and my perspective grounded in real-world practice.

The best trainers don’t just teach from a textbook—they bring lived experience into the room.

By staying on the floor:
• I teach the most up-to-date guidelines and best practice
• I share real, relevant clinical stories that deepen learning
• I bring fresh ideas and practical insights into every session

Training should never feel outdated or disconnected from reality. It should reflect what’s happening right now in healthcare.

For me, maintaining clinical practice isn’t an extra—it’s a responsibility. Because the standard of training we deliver directly impacts the care others provide.

And that matters.
