😄NEW IN CLINIC 🛍️
Ligamove exercise products now in-store at Noosa Mind & Body and online at www.ligamove.com

We’re so excited to share that we’re NOW stocking Ligamove products in-clinic!!!

All of their products are ideal for simple, consistent fitness and wellness routines at home or on the go. All of the Ligamove products we stock are chosen to compliment the work that the Exercise Matters team do with their clients in the studio.

We now stock -

✅ RESISTANCE BANDS
A set of 3 levels of resistance (LIGHT, MEDIUM, and HEAVY). Made in an extra-long length, which makes them especially handy for at-home exercises (more setup options and better reach than most resistance bands on the market).

✅ B***Y BANDS
A set of 3 levels of resistance (LIGHT, MEDIUM, and HEAVY). Comes with a Ligamove Carry Bag, perfect for working out anywhere, anytime!

✅ SHOULDER PULLEY
The Ligamove Shoulder Pulley is a simple tool that allows you to easily implement shoulder exercises (prescribed by your treating health professional) in the comfort of your own home. By utilising a door mounted rope-and-pulley system, the Ligamove Shoulder Pulley allows the stronger, unaffected arm to assist the injured / sore arm in controlled and comfortable movements.

If you’re in for a session, ask the Exercise Matters team for a quick demo and they will show you a few easy ways to use these products in your at-home movement routine.

📍Available now at Exercise Matters (Noosaville) & Noosa Mind & Body.

Ligamove products are also available online at www.ligamove.com

Social media is about to change for young people in Australia – and many teens are already feeling it.

From December 2025, under-16s won’t be able to have accounts on some social media platforms. For most teens, that’s not just “losing an app” – it can feel like losing:

Their way to stay in touch with friends

- A place to share and be creative

- A way to relax after school

- A sense of belonging

At the same time, we know constant scrolling can affect sleep, mood, self-esteem and face-to-face connection. Teen brains are wired to be extra sensitive to social feedback, while self-control is still developing – so stepping back from socials can feel really hard, even when they understand why the rules are changing.

If your teen is confused, angry, sad, worried about missing out – or surprisingly relieved – that’s all normal. A calm, validating conversation can make a big difference:

Q - Ask how they feel about the changes

Name and normalise their emotions (“It makes sense you’d feel left out/annoyed about this”)

Talk together about other ways they can stay connected, express themselves and de-stress

If you’re noticing big feelings, family conflict about screens, or your teen is really struggling with the upcoming ban, our team at Noosa Mind and Body can help support both you and your young person through the transition.

📚 Supporting Your Teen Through Exam Stress

Exam season can be a tough time for teenagers in Years 11 & 12 — and for parents too.

The good news? Small, everyday strategies can make a big difference to their wellbeing and confidence:

✨ Encourage regular breaks & exercise
✨ Work with them on a realistic study plan
✨ Support healthy routines - sleep, food, downtime
✨ Keep communication open - remind them you’re there to listen, you won’t judge and that you will support them. Try to validate their experience but remind them that exam results do not define them!

Stress shows they care about doing well, but constant stress can harm both health and performance. By helping your teen balance study with rest, you can protect their wellbeing and boost their confidence.

Sometimes just knowing you’ve got their back takes the pressure off.

💡 For practical strategies before, during, and after exams, visit the REACH OUT website. There are heaps of resources for parents, children and educators.

If you need more specific support for you or your child, book in with one of our psychologists at Noosa Mind and Body.

Our exercise physiology team are also pretty awesome at helping young people move their bodies with purpose during high stress times.
