Shingles is caused by the same virus that causes chickenpox. It can occur in adults who have had chickenpox before.

Did you know? Shingles is more common in people over 50.
It can cause a painful rash and discomfort that may interfere with daily activities.

Who may be eligible for shingles vaccination?
✅ Adults aged 65 years and over under the National Immunisation Program (NIP)
✅ People aged 18 years and over who are immunocompromised
✅ Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people aged 50 years and over

At LiveLife Pharmacy, we are proud of the talented people who choose to grow their careers with us, and Brett Currie is a standout example of what is possible in community pharmacy.

Brett began his journey with the LiveLife network in 2015 as an intern and has contributed in a wide range of roles, including several years as a locum pharmacist. Over the past 12 months, he has become a valued regular pharmacist across our Lockyer Valley stores.

Driven by a commitment to ongoing learning, Brett recently completed advanced training through the Men’s Health DownUnder group. He now offers specialised consultations, with some patients travelling up to 200 km to access his expertise.

His key areas of focus include post‑prostatectomy support and the management of erectile dysfunction. Brett’s dedication highlights the meaningful impact pharmacists can have when they are supported to specialise, innovate and deliver truly personalised care.
