As parents, grandparents and carers, you might get this phone call a lot! If you've collected your sick child from school or daycare and think they might need to see a doctor, give our team a call.

We often have same-day or next-day appointments available, and you are also welcome to come in and take a seat. If you are happy to wait, and our team will do their best to slot you with our next available doctor.

Our GPs regularly support families with the coughs, fevers, rashes, and bugs that seem to make the rounds in childcare and school settings.

Today marks 6 months of our incredible Practice Manager, Theresa West, keeping all of us at Absolute Health & Skin Clinic in line… and occasionally slightly terrified.

Theresa is that rare combination of:

Did you know around 850,000 Australians may be living with heart valve disease, and many do not even realise it? The tricky part is that symptoms can feel like “just getting older.”

Think SLOW for symptoms to look out for:

❤️ S - Shortness of breath
❤️ L - Lightheadedness with activity
❤️ O - feeling Older than your years
❤️ W - Weary or unusually tired

These symptoms are often caused by simple, treatable things. But if they are new, ongoing, or getting worse, it is worth chatting with your GP.

A quick listen with a stethoscope can sometimes pick up early signs, and further tests can be arranged if needed. Early detection really does matter.

If you are over 65 or have noticed changes in your energy or breathing, book in for a check. And remember, patients over 65 with a current Aged Pension Card can also be bulk-billed when you visit.
