At Love Birth, I teach HypnoBirthing® The Mongan Method, recognised as the Gold Standard of Birthing. In a series of five confidence-building classes I will work with you and your birth companion to facilitate a positive, rewarding birth experience regardless of where or how
you plan on birthing. What is HypnoBirthing®
HypnoBirthing® is a rewarding, relaxing, stress-free method of birthing that is based on the belief that when a mother is properly prepared for birthing physically, mentally, and spiritually, she can experience the joy of birthing her baby in an easier, more comfortable way. When giving birth with HypnoBirthing®, a mother is not in a trance or asleep but instead in a state of deep relaxation—awake, aware, and fully in control. The Five Techniques of HypnoBirthing:
- Relaxation
- Breathing
- Visualisation
- Self Hypnosis / Deepenings
- Affirmations
What I teach week by week:
Session 1: Building A Positive Expectancy
Session 2: Falling in Love With Your Baby/Preparing Mind & Body
Session 3: Getting Ready to Welcome your Baby
Session 4: Overview of Childbirth—A Labour of Love
Session 5: Birthing—Breathing Love, Bringing Life
How do I do this? Discuss:
• Breathing techniques that quickly create a state of relaxation and comfort;
• Positions and techniques to bring about a deeper level of relaxation;
• Visualisations to make birthing easier;
• Methods to bring about a natural start to labour;
• What to expect during the last few weeks, at the onset and during labour and how the body will work with you;
• How to clear anxieties, limiting beliefs or fear surrounding birth;
• How the birth companion can help and be a real part of the birth; and more…. HypnoBirthing® provides birth companions with lots of useful tools to support the birthing mamma, and supports you in feeling more connected in the transformative birthing journey. HypnoBirthing® is the fastest growing childbirth education program nationally and internationally, now being integrated into many Australian hospital antenatal education programs.
