Some of our OT's recently attended a fantastic two-day event at Highgate Healthcare, led by Chanelle Olivier from Enable Lifecare.

Day one focused on Oxford lifters, hoists and slings, with practical guidance on safe patient handling, ergonomic principles, and selecting the right sling or transfer aid for different clients.
Day two explored pressure care and support surface selection, including the OSKA mattress range, along with evidence-based strategies to assess, prevent and manage pressure injuries.

Thank you to Lisa Hendry Dementia Care Advisor & Support at Home and the team for inviting Sarah, our OT, to speak at your recent at Memory Lane Café in Edithburgh.

What a wonderful initiative these cafés are – creating a safe, welcoming space for people living with dementia, their carers, and families to connect, learn, and support one another. Opportunities like this truly make a difference in strengthening community understanding and connection.

We’re so grateful to have been part of such a meaningful morning. 💛
