Held in the stunning surroundings of Wisemans Ferry on the Hawkesbury River, this 4-day retreat (14–17 May) will be a chance to step away from the busyness of daily life and fully immerse yourself in the peace, joy and spiritual inspiration that kirtan offers.

They've teamed up with some wonderful kirtan leaders, and are also honoured to have Acharya das joining us as the special guest speaker. Acharya das has been sharing Vedic and yogic wisdom for over 40 years, with a rare gift for making profound teachings practical and deeply relevant.

Hello! I’m Michele - I’ve been teaching a regular asana class at ASMY for eight years now. I currently take the 6pm Monday class but I’ll often participate in others as one class a week is never enough for me!

Having practiced yoga for a few decades now I realise the benefits are closely woven into my life, but if I had to name three it would be: emotional calmness, mental resilience and a strong back !

Aside from yoga I enjoy walking, cycling and kayaking, escaping when I can for a multi-day hike either in Australia or overseas. Over the last few years I’ve tackled a few of the Camino or pilgrimage hikes in Europe. At the moment, I’m planning to return to France to complete the Le Puy Camino - only another 400 kms to go !

Down time is spent reading (anything travel related), taming a big garden and looking after a pair of small but very demanding dachshunds.

I hope to see you at a Monday evening class sometime - it’s a great way to start the week.😁

I invite you to try a unique meditation experience. You don’t need to sit still and try to empty your mind. It’s an active and guided meditation that works even if your mind is busy.

Kirtan meditation gives your mind something to land on. And that something is beautiful spiritual sounds that bring about deep relaxation, clarity and happiness.

We are closed for kirtan over the long weekend, but open Thursday April 2 and back on Tuesday April 7th.

EASTER HOURS:

Meditation doesn't have to just be sitting still and quiet. ✨

We can take peaceful walks along the beach, in a national park or even a quiet park, using japa mala beads and mantras, and have a contemplative meditative time while moving. 📿🚶‍♂️

It's really lovely experience.

While moving your fingers along the japa mala beads, you quietly repeat sacred mantras. Using the sense of touch, speaking and hearing, you immerse yourself in the meditation.

This form of meditation is practiced sitting down, but it can also be practiced walking in a quiet and peaceful place.

Since time immemorial, people have been encouraged to take 20-30 minutes out of their busy day and simply sit quietly. ✨

These days, that might mean disconnecting from your devices and stepping away from the busyness of life—to find some calm, some peace, some quiet time to be reflective, prayerful, contemplative. Leave distractions aside and sit quietly and meditate. 🌱

You might ask for guidance or insights into: Who am I?

Maybe you reflect: What can I do to make my life better—and the world a better place?

It may mean looking outside the box and considering something deeper in life. 🌺

20-30 minutes each morning in contemplation, meditation or prayer will greatly enhance our lives. We will gain more clarity and inner peace.

This ancient practice is more critical now than ever before. It’s important we try to set aside time for our mental and spiritual wellbeing. Let all the other stuff go. You’ll find this will become the best part of your day.
