Knowbody truely understands the importance of environment. As a former property stylist, interior stylist and creative event planner - where you dwell is where you do well- or not!
It twas my absolute joy to create bespoke spaces for people to live in and celebrate in for special occasions with family and friends.
After working in the external environment, I realised, it comes from within.
Pretty much, how you think, is how you feel and actions your behaviours.
So, as a personal trainer- tertiary qualified- nutritionist and Counsellor with a fem-focus-
Just wanted to remind you all- we are so super cool , fantastic, capable and competent- and can choose to do whatever the fahlala we like.

Knowbody knows 58 people a day are diagnosed with breast cancer, 80% of these people are women over the age of 50.
Knowbody has registered in to do 174 squats a day to support world- class breast cancer research that will help the National Breast Cancer Foundation achieve their vision of zero deaths from breast cancer ( my mother in law Judy Kane died from breast cancer at 51 years X). So, I, so can do the triple, 174 squats!!!
Olifka, you all know I love research and strong glutes, so I sorta had to do this one.
Butt, it will be more fun, if we do it together, even for just some of those squats. Soooooo, Knowbody had an idea…
How’s about, an online complimentary ( be free with me) 30 minute group strength training session at 6am every hump day Wednesday during March to bump the lump, including just 58 squats !

All you have to do is, show up, PJs welcome, bring your coffee, have a laugh, maybe a cry, possibly glisten a little , strengthen your bones, tone your muscles, increase your energy, and donate $58 to the , all the whiles supporting yah sisters.

WE will not be squatting for 30 minutes, we will throw in some arms, some core, some back, breath work, stretch and flexibility.
So excited, whooo hooo, who doesn’t want to feel hood and throw some junk in their trunk.

Knowbody knows this is is not a photo of Marie. She also knows about the second stage of Behavioural change- contemplation- being aware of the problem, though without the commitment to change it, or even more destructive- really going for it-without a realistic plan or support to achieve it and giving up. Ouch.how many times have we done that!

Most often the lack of commitment is because you don’t know how, or haven’t planned for success or you are doing it for reasons that are not important to you.
The third stage of Behaviour change- preparation- is the intent on taking action to address the problem- another fave hover space for many.

Most often people hover in third stage- because they didn’t plan, don’t know how to plan-to really understand the why and how- that’s where Knowbody can really help you. Working out the why and how plan, your success plan, that actively modifies the behaviours that are blocking your way, and opens up the road to drive smoothly ( navigating the pot holes) to where you want to go.

I would do it- says Marie. Knowbody will do it with you. DM me if you are contemplating change.

Knowbody listens to menopause challenges a lot. It is what it is, and it isn’t. Everyone is unique, no one is the same and not everyone has hot flushes and redistributed fat. Though, many do, and much more.

If you need help with navigating menopause, there are thousands of people out there wanting to take your money and Hundreds of pills and potions.
There is also, fifty billion words on menopause to misinform and confuse you. Keep looking, there are really good folk out there too, person- centred and evidence-based.

If you are experiencing debilitating symptoms. I empathise. If you need help, I can work with you to create a simple plan to ease the gloom ‘til you bloom, and stronger on the other side.

knowbody understands the reasons and methods for reaching your goals determine your tenacity. But why aren’t we all on the podium? Because we often limit ourselves to small thinking. Let’s break free from this and THINK BIG. Stay with me. Knowbody will explain it to you.

Let’s say you want to lose weight (broad goal). Traditionally, it involves
less socialising, lower portion sizes, eating lean meals, limited screen time, and lacking a good mood.
(how are your stress levels after reading through those questions?).
Eek and Ick. This lose, less, lower, lean, limited, and lacking mindset will set us up for failure every time and twice on Tuesdays.

Reframe: THINK BIG. This is not just a change in perspective; it’s a decisive and consequential shift in control that will boost your energy, expand your thoughts, optimise your nutritious meals, increase your water intake, inflate your breath, improve your sleep, and raise your mood.

By thinking BIG, we can be smarter about weight loss. As you all know, SMARTER is specific, measurable, achievable, realistic, time-based, evaluated, and reviewed. The R has many potential ramifications, but it also gives you the power to revise your trip.

Knowbody loves pimping sambos. Over toasting the bread, be it rye, spelt, seedy or straight up sourdough, left in the toaster to go cold. Then I smother them both , the left with Dijon, the right with chilli, avocado, soft feta- something soft to counter the cold crunchy toast. Always spinach, nowadays picked daily from my Potager , oh the joy, g l i m m e r i n g~and then the colours, red, purple, orange and yellow, and white to keep it honest. Then cut, nearly always triangles, that’s my first bite, chewed slowly and feeling grooveeee.

Knowbody knows the “Love Sign” was first created by Brisbane text-based artist Alan James in 2003. Each one is individually labelled and numbered. I have #233 (Apparently, “our Cate” and “our Toni” have acquired them too). I Love it (lol). I think every mother needs one.
It has hung in our home as a creative reminder to STOP, don’t react, and stay in control. STOP is an excellent skill.
 
Stop. Take a step back. Observe. Proceed.
 
Observe what’s happening around you and within you. Be mindful of Automatic Negative Thoughts (ANTs) from an Outdated Belief System (Observed Bull S**t, OBS). Gather the facts before making conclusions to make effective choices. Andavagoodweekend.

Knowbody came across this meme today, I have scheduled aimless social media time in my SOS. Cool, no guilt and no shame (I didn’t do anything bad and I am not bad).

Knowbody creates SOS time every Sunday evening,showered and pjamied, favourite cup of herbal tea near, maybe some music, maybe not, and gets curious about her week with pencil and paper.

Asking myself what is on this week? What do I need to do for me, for others, for work? And I put in all in my pencil diary, and set reminders of start times in my digital diary- to relieve the “farout brusselsprout WTF”.

SOS is the source - of giving me back all the time I have lost to procrastinating, not getting stuff done, eating unplannned things, not exercising, ruminating about how I don’t have enough time, doing things half-arse (and having to do them again), forgetting meaningful things, missing out on stuff, not sleeping well and feeling sh*tty because I’ve got sooo much to do. Do you ever feel like that? That you don’t have time…

Did you just read that? I just read back through that, Weird crazy, why wouldn’t I commit to an hour on Sunday to observe and intentionally plan my week with complete commitment-to give me the time to do all the stuff I need and want to do . I do, I do, I’ve said that twice, I now say it daily to myself, I do. (sneaky wedding ref.).

So, my lovelies, if you want to get the sauce (SOS) on your time management skills, and who doesn’t love a condiment ( I adore Dijon, especially with eggs), add a big dollop of SOS - Sunday Observant Schedule - to YOUR week.

Knowbody thinks she’s funny. Knowbody has been listening to and working with women with their training and nutrition challenges for over a decade. And as you all know, the real Knowbody ( yes there is an imposter!), in her time away from the park, has been thoroughly enjoying her uni studying strength training, body systems, nutrition, coaching and now completing a master’s in counselling.

Why? Because of you, my very lovelies, all of that chat, those private after class conversations, text messages and emails, filled with laughter, tears, uncertainties, and fears propelled me into motivational health coaching.

Thankyou, I am grateful to you all for your generous, vulnerable sharing of your thoughts with me; I have hopped-skipped and jumped into my passion and purpose. That is, to give you the tools and self- confidence to achieve anything you bloody well want, by understanding your brain ( I love neuroplasticity, sooo cool), feeding your central nervous system ( a complex delight), swapping false pleasure for absolute pleasure and unravelling the human problems and the stagnation to stop buffering, to unplug and reset and thus achieve the results you most desire.
