We Don’t Adjust You in 5 Minutes Here’s Why:

Most people think a first chiropractic visit means:

Walk in
Lie down
Crack
Done ✅

That’s not how we work

At North Fremantle Chiropractic, we don’t touch your spine until we understand your story

Because pain doesn’t exist in isolation

Your training load
Your work posture
Your stress levels
Your sleep
Your movement patterns

It all matters

Step 1: We listen
Step 2: We assess how you move
Step 3: We only treat when it’s safe and appropriate

Sometimes that means treatment on day one
Sometimes it means imaging
Sometimes it means referring out

Good care isn’t about speed
It’s about precision

If you’re tired of quick fixes and ready for care that actually works long term, book a proper assessment and let’s do this the right way

𝘎𝘦𝘵 𝘠𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘏𝘢𝘯𝘥𝘴 𝘖𝘧𝘧 𝘐𝘵

“Doc, it’s really sore right here…”

And then they show me by digging into it
Repeatedly

Here’s the problem

If an area is irritated and all you do is press, massage, roll, or bash it all day… you’re reinforcing the irritation

It’s like having a bruise and poking it nonstop

When a tissue is sensitised, the nervous system is already paying extra attention to it. More compression and aggressive self-treatment can keep that area switched on instead of letting it settle

Yes gentle movement and light stretching can help
But if we’ve worked into an area, it needs 24–48 hours to recover

More isn’t better
Better is better

If something isn’t improving, stop attacking it and get it properly assessed

Your body heals best when you give it the chance to

It’s not a muscle problem It’s not a joint problem... It’s a body problem

That stubborn shoulder
Those tight hamstrings
The headaches after training
They’re rarely random

Your body works as one connected system
When one area underperforms, another compensates
That keeps you moving
But it also creates overload somewhere else

Quick fixes chase the symptom
Massage guns, stretching the same spot, heat packs
They calm things down
But they don’t change the pattern

If you want it to stick, zoom out
Assess how you move
How you load
How your nervous system is driving the whole thing

Stop treating parts
Start training the system
Because your body isn’t broken
It’s adapting

Your Pain Isn’t Always Where the Problem Is

Your neck pain might not be a neck problem
Your headaches might not start in your head
Your mid-back pain might have nothing to do with your mid-back

It sounds wild… but the body isn’t a collection of random parts.
It’s a system

When one area isn’t doing its job properly, another area picks up the slack
That compensation can build quietly over time until something finally starts to hurt

And most people do the same thing:
They chase the pain

Massage the sore spot
Roll the tight muscle
Stretch the cranky area

But if you only chase symptoms, you stay stuck in the cycle

As Donkey in the movie Shrek wisely said… onions have layers... Well so do humans

At North Fremantle Chiropractic, we assess the whole system
Movement, strength, balance, compensation patterns

Because when you find the root cause, you stop guessing and you start progressing

If you’re sick of temporary fixes, let’s unravel the layers properly

Book in and let’s get to work

How to Test for a Slipped Disc (disc bulge) At Home

Try this simple test:
👣 Sit tall, straighten your knee, point your toes up, then slouch forward

😌 No pain = you're likely in the clear.
😣 Pain, tightness, or nerve pull = possible disc or nerve tension

This is where proper assessment matters
Chiropractic care can help identify and relieve the pressure before it gets worse

No, We Don’t Just Lie You Down and Crack You 😂

Let’s clear something up
At North Fremantle Chiropractic, we don’t just lie you down and adjust you

That would be rushed
And frankly, inappropriate

Your first appointment is about answers

We start with an in-depth history:
• What’s going on
• How it started
• What it’s stopping you from doing
• What may be contributing

Then we move into a full examination:
• Posture
• Range of motion
• Balance testing
• Grip strength
• Muscle testing
• Orthopaedic and neurological assessments
• Specific spinal examination

If everything indicates it’s safe and appropriate, we begin treatment on the day

From there, we may organise imaging if clinically indicated, complete advanced testing where needed, and schedule your follow-up to review findings properly and map out the right plan

No guesswork
No rushing
No cookie-cutter care

If you’re tired of the pain → fine → pain cycle…

Let’s actually figure out what’s going on

Quick Fixes Feel Good, Strategy Gets Results

Here’s the truth most people don’t want to hear

You can chase quick fixes forever
Or you can build something that actually lasts

Your body keeps score

Every shortcut
Every ignored imbalance
Every “I’ll deal with it later”

But it also keeps score of the work you put in:
• Proper assessment
• Structured rehab
• Gradual load progression
• Consistent care

The difference between temporary relief and long-term results isn’t just the treatment
It’s the approach

Real recovery starts with understanding what’s actually going on
That’s why we assess properly before we adjust

If you’re tired of going: pain → relief → pain → relief…

Maybe it’s time to stop chasing the quick win and start building something that holds

There’s No Medal for Suffering in Silence

Gents… we need to talk.
(Ladies, you’re welcome to stay for this one)

Why is it that when I see men in practice especially over 35 or 40 the story is almost always the same?

“Yeah, I’ve had it for a couple of years.”
“Probably 18 months.”
“Comes and goes… mostly comes.”

Meanwhile, most women come in when it’s recent. Weeks. Maybe months

So what is it with us blokes?

Why do we wait until it’s chronic?
Why do we treat pain like a competition?
Why do we act like there’s a gold medal for tolerating the most discomfort the longest?

There isn’t

There’s no trophy for toughing it out
No applause for ignoring it
No bonus points for finally coming in because your partner told you to

What you do get for waiting is:
Less control
Longer recovery
More frustration when you can’t train, golf, lift, run, or play with your kids the way you used to

Getting help early isn’t weakness
It’s ownership

Strong isn’t suffering in silence
Strong is handling it before it handles you

Back pain isn’t a badge of honour

You hit 30 and suddenly your hips feel twice your age

It’s not a mystery it’s just the price of ignoring the signal

If you're done patching it with stretching videos and 'powering through'...

Book a consult
Start reversing the wear, not just working around it

You Need To Want The Process Not Just the Result

You don’t get abs on day one
You don’t fix a 5-year injury in two visits

But that’s exactly how you might be treating your health

Here’s the truth

If part of your lawn dies, you don’t dump a swimming pool on it and hope for magic. You water it properly. Consistently. Two to three times a week. For weeks

Slowly, it reconnects
It strengthens
It grows back

Your body works the same way

Long-term problems need frequency
Small inputs. Repeated over time
Then maintenance to keep it strong

If you abandon the process, things go backwards
That’s not opinion that’s biology

If you want the result, commit to the process

Shout our to Dr Craig Foote for the awesome analogy
