Gaiacology Specialists in Women's Health What is Gaiacology? Women are the sacred custodians of life itself and we believe there is nothing more important in our community.

"Gaia" = mother earth, the Greek Godess
"cology" = the science of

We celebrate the warrior women of the Central Coast by promising to deliver world class healthcare. It doesn’t matter whether a woman has pregnancies or not on her journey. The potential to create life and joy carries with it the potential of pain, bleeding, dysfunction and life changes that can be confusing and concerning. We have dedicated our lives to understanding women’s health and how to optimize it at any stage of life, using the best available scientific evidence. Incidentally, “Gaia hypothesis” is the theory that all living and non-living things are interconnected in a complex, self-regulating network (think Avatar!). We believe your body is just as amazing as mother earth, and just as connected. We consider the complexity of your whole mind, body and spirit as we care for you with a multidisciplinary, integrative approach.

Did you know that surgery is no longer the only way to diagnose endometriosis?

Thanks to advances in medical imaging, a high-quality transvaginal ultrasound performed by a trained specialist can now detect the presence of endometriosis — often without the need for invasive procedures.

This non-surgical approach is now the new gold standard for diagnosis, offering women clarity and support earlier in their health journey.

At Gaiacology, we’re proud to offer expert pelvic ultrasounds led by Dr Jason Mak, who brings advanced sub-specialisation in both gynaecological surgery and diagnostic ultrasound. Dr Mak completed his fellowship training with a focus on endometriosis and complex pelvic conditions, ensuring our patients receive the highest level of care.

If you or someone you know is experiencing symptoms or seeking clarity around pelvic pain or suspected endometriosis, our specialist team is currently accepting referrals for women’s pelvic health ultrasounds.

💛 Empowering women with accurate, compassionate, and timely care is at the heart of what we do.
