The last Humulus lupulus strobiles for this Summer β˜€οΈ my fresh plant Hops tinctures always contains a percentage of glycerine, which, along with the water, are brilliant solvents to maximise the antioxidants in the final product. The glycerine helps take the edge off the bitter principle without compromising this action within. And it still achieves 70% alcohol for the other important constituents πŸŒΏπŸ’š

Why "Green Tree" Naturopathy and what is the symbolism within my logo?

It was 2014 that this name came to me, and I had a simpler green 'tree of life' logo created. This one is the beautiful, evolved version created in 2022, 20yrs on from completing my studies, because everything had grown and evolved ~ me, my work approach, my garden apothecary, my gifts, my offerings and much more and I wished for a logo that encapsulated all this transformation along with the inclusion of my garden flowers and my Bee Priestess.

The Tree of Life symbol has always represented interconnectedness and togetherness 🌏 and in essence reminds us that we are never truly alone or isolated, but rather that we are connected to the Earth and every living creature.

For me, this interconnectedness encompasses the understanding that our health is intricately interwoven with that of our planet's. We must therefore care for her as though she is an extension of ourselves. Her healing is our healing.

My Tree of Life is flowing into regenerative vitality ~ what I wish for my clients, humanity and our ecosystems. Her dynamic energy is branching out into the cosmos as well as being deeply rooted in the energies of our Earth, as are we.

Her spiral reflects the evolution and transmutation that is experienced with growth and holistic healing.

And she's a 'Green' Tree of Life, as green represents our heart chakra. Unconditional love channelled through my heart is at the core of everything I do, grow, create, manifest and provide.

This magical logo creation, along with my Bee Priestess is by the divine Ruth Evans Art ✨️

Last year's tincture has been prescribed dozens of times in my clinic, especially in my clients' night formulas, as Hops is a beautiful hypnotic and relaxing herbal friend 🌿 oh, and has the funkiest botanical name Humulus lupulus πŸ’šπŸŒΏ

Happy snap sharing time from today's Bee Hotel workshop with Southern Forest Landcare

Northcliffe Men's Shed member Mark Batty created these frames out of old pallets. How great do they look?

Each hotel was filled with bamboo canes, spent raspberry canes, dried grapevine cuttings and dried fennel flower stalks to create ready made cavities as well as soft pithy stems for bees like Reed Bees to tunnel into and lay their eggs.

If you're keen to make a hotel and would like some tips, here's an article from my website.

Here's the article in today's West Australian newspaper at the back of the New Homes section. My sleepy bees in the calendula flower with streak of bird p**p are a little famous today πŸ˜‰ The original article was going to be focusing on 'bee friendly', but thanks to Keren she allowed me to change the focus to highlight our native bees and their needs specifically πŸ₯°πŸ₯°

Off to my bee hotel workshop now πŸ˜Šβ€οΈπŸ™πŸΌπŸπŸŒΌ Enjoy your weekend

My Story

Hi! I would love to take this space to connect to the heart of my work and give a little summary of the wholeness, instead of the little pieces most posts display. 🐸 🌿 I am Tracy, the naturopath and creator of Green Tree Naturopathy.

🌿As my business name and logo suggest, I am as equally passionate about promoting sustainable living and ways to garden intelligently to care for our planet, as I am about my natural medicine practice.

β€‹β€‹πŸŒΏ My clinic is on a peaceful 5 acres within the rammed earth ecohome my husband and I owner built together in 2009. We've been slowly creating our sustainable living dream since 2005, which is something we've been manifesting since 1999.

🌿 Since our near bare paddock beginnings here in 2005, our dedication to holistically heal and nurture our land - (the tiny patch of Mother Earth we are now guardian of) - has resulted in a garden that's healthy, happy and healed on a physical and energetic level. Planting with the intention to heal the ecosystems and support all biodiversity has come full circle. Our land now grows the most dynamic, powerful plant medicines to holistically heal us.
