For quite some time now I have been receiving these random little positive and beautiful memes that pop up in my instagram inbox from a client of mine that I have been working with for years.
I struggled with mental health issues since I was a teenager. I was constantly harassed at school and despite being optimistic, happy and generally an extrovert, over time with the continuous negativity being pelted my way…my light dimmed and I really didn’t experience much joy for a long time after that.
Life, loss, grief, heartache, conflict, challenges, bad habits all happened and things didn’t get much better.
I wanted more from my life and wanted to feel happy again and learn how to cope naturally which lead me to studying holistic human development and meditation teaching. These days I am so much stronger mentally than I used to be and with the tools I learned in that course, I feel I am mentally well balanced now.
In saying that, I still have days that I find challenging, where I wonder if I am on the right path, if I am truly helping anyone with the support, energy and services that I offer… a long standing battle with self-worth that I am finally starting to get under control.
It means so much to me to Open my inbox to messages like these. It is not necessary, there is no obligation from my client to send me these, just pure genuine kindness on their part and deep gratitude on mine, that fills my heart.
What it is… it is a gentle reminder to me that the work I do MATTERS. That in a world that can seem filled with darkness at times… YOU MATTER, I MATTER, we are all loved, appreciated and valued by people out there, even when we may feel like we are not.
If you think of someone, let them know. You could just brighten their day, give them purpose and strength to keep going, or even unknowingly save a life.
Much love to you gorgeous souls 💗💗💗 and thank you to my dear client and friend for sending me these. You know who you are 💐
