To all: If possible, take a moment to stop for one minute at 11am today to pay respects to Armed Forces members.
Remembrance Day takes place each November to honour those who served and died in wars around the world. Originally known as Armistice Day, it began as a day to remember the end of World War I (WWI), which occurred on the eleventh hour of the eleventh day of the eleventh month, in 1918.
