Little Readers - Fun literacy group for kids aged 5-6 (Prep-Grade
1), designed to spark a love of reading and build key early literacy skills.

🗓️Session 1: Wednesday, 25th September | 11:00am - 12:00pm

🗓️Session 2: Tuesday, 1st October | 2:00pm -
3:00pm

🎪Location: 2/18 Flinders Parade, North Lakes
22 Small group (4-6 children) | $ $100 per session. NDIS Registered.

Each session explores a new children’s book through fun, hands-on language and literacy activities - no reading pressure, just participation, connection, and storytelling fun

Practice with a purpose! Our amazing client Xavian brought pictures of his pets to use in speech therapy! We had a blast by saying our /s/ words, including his dog’s name ‘Swayze’.

This activity was not only heaps of fun, but draws on concepts of neuroplasticity by choosing target words that are meaningful, increase motivation to get high practice trials and support generalisation of skills. By the end of the session, Xavian could say “Sit down Swayze” and “Silly Swayze” which are phrases he can use at home with his puppy pal.
