Sovereign Funerals provide excellent service at an affordable price, but we understand that a funeral can leave families with a significant financial burden during their time of grief.

Many people have invested in funeral insurance to cover the cost. Sadly, it’s not uncommon for the cumulative cost of the insurance premiums to far exceed the cost of the funeral.

Funeral insurance premiums rise as you age, give no protection from inflation and the insurance company can cancel your policy at any time.

That’s why we encourage you to prepay your funeral with Sovereign Funerals. We offer peace of mind and security for your future. Once you’ve selected and paid for the options you want, there’s no more to pay on those options, no matter how long you live.

And you pay for your funeral at today’s prices, so no matter how much funeral prices increase, your family won’t have to pay a cent more when the time comes.

Call us today on (07) 3204 4287 if you would like to book a no-obligation appointment to discuss your funeral plans.

🕯 The Meaning Behind the Candle at a Funeral 🕯

At a time of loss, even the smallest light can offer comfort.

The candle has long been a symbol of remembrance, hope, and the enduring spirit of those we love. When lit during a funeral, it represents the light that a loved one brought into our live and the warmth that remains even after they are gone.

Whether it stands for a soul's peaceful journey, a prayer offered in silence, or a beacon of love that never fades, the candle reminds us: though we grieve, we are not in darkness.

At Sovereign Funerals, we honor these traditions and the personal meanings they hold. Every flame tells a story.

As part of our ongoing community support, Sovereign Funerals had the honour of restoring the remembrance plaque at Peninsula Palms Retirement Village, Rothwell.
You can see that the original plaque, first unveiled in 2012, was barely decipherable for this years ANZAC service but now it has been restored to its former glory.

They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old:
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning
We will remember them.

This Easter, we reflect on the promise of new life, renewal, and everlasting hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ.
At Sovereign Funerals, we know that this season can be a tender time for those who are grieving. Yet through faith, we are reminded that death is not the end but the beginning of something eternal.
May the hope of the risen Christ bring comfort, peace, and light to your heart this Easter.
Wishing you and your loved ones a blessed and meaningful Easter from all of us at Sovereign Funerals.

Thank you Adam for your kind words 💜

“We can't thank Jess and Trevor enough for the way they guided us through a very difficult time. The process was extremely easy and conducted in a sympathetic and empathetic manner, the service couldn't have gone any better and was a beautiful celebration of a life. The fact that Sovereign are a not for profit is also fantastic.”

For many, Valentine’s Day is a time of love and celebration, but for those grieving the loss of a loved one, it can be a difficult and emotional day.

If you're missing someone this Valentine’s, know that your feelings are valid. Love doesn’t fade - it lives on in our hearts, in our memories and in the moments we continue to cherish. Take time for yourself, honor their memory in a way that feels right, and reach out if you need support.

To those who are grieving, we see you, we support you and you are not alone.

Meet Trevor - Manager of Sovereign Funerals
My greatest privilege is to be allowed the opportunity to come alongside families at a time of crisis and to walk with them through the difficult process of saying goodbye to someone they love. My goal is to be a calming presence, and to take some of the stress out of an extremely stressful situation. While a funeral is a time to say goodbye, its also an opportunity to celebrate a life, and I find great joy in helping families to plan the perfect service for their loved one.

I have served in the funeral industry for more than 14 years and I started Sovereign Funerals in 2012 while serving as the Managing Director of the Interseed Foundation.

I love to spend time with my wife, children, and their families. I especially love to have time with my Grandchildren. I enjoy long drives to new destinations, and I love to relax with a cold drink while enjoying the sight and sounds of my large collection of birds.
