She's done it!! Lisa Blair has crossed the finish line in 92 days and 18 hours of solo sailing to break the world record to sail solo non-stop around Antartica. North Manly Physiotherapy has been a proud sponsor of this unbelievably difficult challenge. Huge congratulations Lisa ⛵️

Yesterday morning, the amazing Lisa Blair set sail on the start of her second world record bid to become the fastest sailor to circumnavigate Antartica. My family and I have had the privilege to have sailed Lisa's boat 'Climate Action Now' and North Manly Physiotherapy are proud sponsors of this challenge. Along the way she will also collect scientific data on ocean health, deploy weather drifter buoys and collect microplastic samples in the most remote oceans of Antarctica. Few ships travel these areas and minimal data currently exists.

Sailing is one of the most inclusive sports that has been at a Paralympics. It was dropped from Tokyo 2020 and Paris 2024 but is on a mission for reinstatement to LA 2028.

Had the pleasure of spending time with coach Louise Sauvage during my Sports Physio Masters, specialising in Para sport. Louise is so dedicated to passing on her vast knowledge and experience to her athletes. This morning, Madi de Rozario won the Gold in the marathon in a tough fight to the line. Fantastic result for Madi and Louise ❤️

Fantastic support for the Aussie Paralympians!

Thank you Australia!

We have filled two Stadiums in Tokyo with green and gold and with your support we will be able to:

- Equip our Para-athletes through our Equipment fund. Just like Gordon Allen who competed in Tokyo with a brace on his leg provided through the fund.

- Innovate and develop better and more accessible equipment such as the chairs used by our wheelchair rugby team.

- Educate Australian school children on the importance of inclusion and diversity through our Education program.

- Identify the next generation of Para-athletes through our Come and Try Days and Talent Transfer programs just like the 63 (out of 179) athletes who were identified through these programs currently competing in Tokyo.

But we are not done yet! Let’s fill a third stadium and continue to get the next generation of Paralympic champions to the starting line.

Get cheering for the Aussie Paralympic Mob! Many friends are over in Tokyo competing and supporting the athletes. Working to get sailing reinstated as sadly it was dropped as a sport for Tokyo and Paris. Feels strange to be watching it from a distance and not to be there with the team.
