Are you an Autistic young person aged 12–17 living in Australia?

UWA is inviting you to take part in a research study about young people’s experiences of exploring and understanding that they are Autistic. This program aims to find out and understand what supports Autistic teens need and want after being diagnosed or identified as Autistic.

This project is led by researchers from the University of Western Australia, working alongside a team of autistic, neurodivergent, and non-autistic researchers across Australia and the UK.

For more information about the study and how to take part, please follow this link to their expression of interest page:

“Being perceived” refers to the experience of being noticed, watched, and interpreted by others, which can evoke feelings of anxiety and fear of judgement - an experience especially common among neurodivergent individuals.

In this new blog post, Kit chats about their return to dance at 30, and the fear that often accompanies doing something new, the worry of making mistakes, and the freedom of diving back into a passion.
