Northam Discount Drug Store –
Dispensary Technician - Full Time Position
We are searching for someone with attention to detail, organised with the ability to adapt to busy periods.
A willingness to undertake on-the-job training. A structured orientation and training program will be provided.
Previous experience in Pharmacy as a Dispensary Assistant is an advantage but not essential. The successful applicant must have a high level of personal presentation and the ability to work well in a team environment. A positive and flexible approach to the work.
Key responsibilities of this role include:
 Assisting Pharmacists in dispensing medications and administration
 Constructing and maintaining patient records
 Assisting with stock management
 Assisting with DAA/Webster packs within the pharmacy environment
 Addressing any problems relating to the packing of medications efficiently and effectively
 Liaising with Nursing Homes
 Communicating with other health professions, customers as well as team members
Knowledge, Skills and Behaviours
 DAA Packing experience is desirable
 MINFOS experience useful, but not essential
 Strong administration and organisational skills
 Ability to address client needs with sensitivity and professionalism
 Able to remain calm in high pressure situations self-motivation, honesty and reliability
 Ability to problem solve
 The ability to prioritize tasks
 Organised, with solid time management skills
 Sound computer skills
 Strong communication skills among all stakeholders
 Excellent customer service
 Dedicated work ethic
 Eye for detail and accuracy
 Driver's License
