Congratulations to the winners at Beverley Station Arts Gallery & Platform Theatre. The array of art was amazing. Special congratulations to the BEST LOCAL ARTIST, which we were fortunate to sponsor, Marylou Hutchinson for her piece “Dongara Sunset”. Lachlan Hunter MP was also very impressed with the art.

Grief reminds us of the depth of love we shared.

Thinking of all those holding memories, love and loss close over the Easter break.

Wishing all a safe & happy Easter. Please be safe on our roads & and enjoy the break with family & friends.

3 days on the Sunshine Coast at the Funerals Australia conference. There’s always something new to learn or “think about”, meeting up with “old” friends & meeting new likeminded ones. The evenings were lots of fun.

Being a rural Funeral Director we cover a huge area throughout the Wheatbelt +. Being recognized as an Essential Service by our government, for fuel is necessary.

Funeral directors travel significant distances every day to bring loved ones into care and support families through the funeral process. Reliable access to fuel is essential to ensure these services continue without disruption.

As the peak national body, Funerals Australia is advocating to State and Federal Ministers for funeral services to be recognised as an essential service in any fuel prioritisation arrangements, helping ensure families can continue to receive care when they need it most.

Join us in advocating for recognition of funeral services in emergency fuel planning.

When someone dies, research shows that ceremony plays an important role in helping people process death. Seeing a coffin, hearing familiar music, sharing stories and gathering with others can provide clarity and meaning during grief.

These moments do not need to be elaborate. Simple rituals and shared presence can be enough.

Funerals create space for this. Do you agree?

Friends are special, treat them gently, hold them close and be there for them as they will for you, when needed.

Recognising our team of special, strong, caring women, on International Women’s Day. We are blessed to have each one of them in the Wheatbelt caring for our families.

Women contribute to funeral care in many ways, across many roles.

On International Women's Day, we recognise the women within Funerals Australia membership and across the sector who bring care, skill and leadership to this work, often without recognition.

From supporting families through grief, to leading teams, managing operations, educating others and advocating for better standards, their work is central to the profession.

Tag someone in the industry who deserves recognition. Let's celebrate them together.
