What does this new symbol mean?? 💗💗
The Worthy Unification Initiative, a cornerstone of our Safe Haven program, does more than provide a home for women and children impacted by domestic violence. For many, it’s a pathway to reunification with their children. When domestic violence leads to homelessness, child services may become involved, as mothers—through no fault of their own—may no longer be able to provide a stable and secure home for their children.
Our unification process is deeply collaborative. We work closely with referring support workers to ensure each safe haven is not only fully furnished but meets all standards required for child safety and welfare. This partnership ensures that the environment is appropriate for the children who will be living there and is up to standard for government child service inspections. Success in this program means that mothers can demonstrate to child services that they can once again provide a safe, nurturing, and stable home for their children.
The impact is profound: reunification brings hope, healing, and a new beginning for families once separated.
When you see the unification symbol on a Safe Haven reveal, you’ll know that this haven has reunited a mother and her children.
Just another way that the team at are making a real impact.
