There is so much more to the mother-baby dyad. science always playing catch up. Trust your intuition and explicitly created biology. Mother nature does not make mistakes.

There is a fascinating biological exchange between mother and baby, and it goes deeper than most people realize.

🔁 Microchimerism: The Cellular Swap

During pregnancy (and through breastfeeding), cells from the baby can enter the mother’s bloodstream and lodge in various tissues and vice versa. This phenomenon is called fetal-maternal microchimerism.
• Baby to Mother: Fetal cells (including stem cells) cross the placenta and can remain in the mother’s body for decades. These cells have been found in maternal hearts, lungs, thyroids, skin, and even brains.
• Mother to Baby: Maternal cells also cross the placenta and can be detected in the baby’s tissues after birth. Some research suggests they may help train the baby’s immune system.

🧬 What Does It Mean?
• This exchange is more than physical, it’s biological entanglement.
• The baby literally becomes a part of the mother’s body, and the mother becomes part of the baby.
• Some fetal cells may even help the mother repair tissue after birth.

Through Breastfeeding?

While the cellular exchange is clearest during pregnancy, breast milk also transfers stem cells, immune cells, and genetic material that can integrate into the baby’s body and influence their development.

There’s emerging evidence that breastfeeding may further extend this symbiotic cellular relationship.

A letdown is not just milk.
It’s a memory, medicine, and the tender flood of love made visible.

The Holy war.

🩸 Did you ever wonder why midwives are called criminal in the land of their grandmothers?
Why women are told birth is “too risky” without a license from men who’ve never bled?
Why catching babies in your hands is punishable, while cutting them from the womb is praised?
It’s not just regulation.
It’s not just oversight.
It’s a war on the design.

👁️ They say it’s for safety—but the numbers say otherwise.
They say it’s for the mother—but mothers say they were never heard.
They say it’s for the baby—but the cord is cut early, the breath is forced, the moment is stolen.
This is not protection.
It is control dressed in sterile robes.

📜 “But the midwives feared God, and did not do as the king of Egypt commanded them, but saved the male children alive.”
Exodus 1:17.
Shiphrah. Puah.
They stood in the face of genocide, not for fame, not for gold—but because they feared God, not Pharaoh.

And today? The decrees still come down from high.
"Do not attend without a permit."
"Report your sisters."
"Say nothing when they are dragged into court."
But we remember.
And we refuse.
🔗 We stand when told to kneel.
🛑 We speak when told to be quiet.
🤲 We catch life even when threatened with cages.

Midwives in Hungary. Shackled.
In South Africa. Charged.
In Pennsylvania. Investigated.
In New York. Erased from history.
In Australia. Jailed for attending what the mother chose.

Licensed or not, the threat is the same—because it’s not about safety.
It’s about sovereignty.

A woman, laboring in power, is dangerous to the powers. A baby born into peace instead of panic threatens the principalities.
And a midwife who says, “I answer to God, not your decree,” is their greatest fear.

Because we do not serve the gods of liability, nor the idols of compliance.
We do not offer incense to the state to be allowed to do what God has already called us to do.

So why do we fight?
Because birth is holy.
Because mothers are not property.
Because babies are not state commodities.
Because legacy matters more than law.
Because we were called for such a time as this.
We fear the Lord.

This is not soft work. This is a Holy war.

Part of the BIRTH MYSTIC MENTORSHIP you learn how to give pregnancy and postpartum massages. And as I love throwing the girls into the deep end, they also got to give massages to real pregnant women on the last day. 🤣 They did amazing and the women enjoyed their massage. Practice makes perfect! But importantly the flow from heart to arms to hands - loving flow from your body translates to nurturing, loving touch to mamas and babies. How to get the flow?? We dance!
These women will want to practice and we are both NOR and SOR, so get in touch for a student session and look out for our Massage by Donation Days.

The girls and I put together a sweet and intimate mama blessing in nanna's back yard. Love doing these! Tribal face painting and savage daughters singing. Its always a great day when women gather. Wild Soul Village 😍
