ABOUT ME:
I am a creative and enthusiastic Speech Pathologist with over 11 years experience assessing and working with children with a wide range of speech, language and communication difficulties. I am a Certified Member of Speech Pathology Australia (SPA) and I am a registered provider for Medicare. MY APPROACH:
I provide home, kinder and school based speech and language therapy for children with a range of speech, language and communication difficulties. I offer best practice evidence based speech pathology services, and I am a strong believer in focussing on a child’s strengths, not their weaknesses. Therapy programs are developed for each child and personalised therapy goals are set at the beginning of the program. Your child’s progress is monitored on an ongoing basis. The frequency of therapy sessions and the number of therapy sessions varies from child to child and is determined according to evidence based practice and your child’s unique needs. QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
I completed my Bachelor of Science in Psychology (HONS) in 2004 at the University of Southampton, UK. I then went on to complete Post Graduate Diploma in Speech and Language Therapy at the University of Greenwich, UK in 2009. Throughout my career I have had the opportunity to work within a variety of settings (e.g. kinder centres, mainstream and specialist schools, multidisciplinary clinics and hospitals) and provided a range of individual and group therapy. In addition to my private practice I currently work within an ASD diagnostic team at a public hospital. Prior to this I worked as a senior clinician in reputable private clinics in Melbourne and London, and also at a not for profit Autism organisation.I have also provided speech and language therapy and training to other professionals in West Africa.
