After a season of stillness and integration, I’m returning to practice.
For those unfamiliar with me, welcome. For those who’ve shared the journey, please consider this a reintroduction.
I return to practice with renewed hands, softer eyes, and a deeper reverence for the wisdom our bodies.
I am Angélica. Physiotherapist, Lymphoedema practitioner, Maya abdominal practitioner and bodyworker in service to that which is unseen: the quiet rhythm of healing.
My formal path began with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy, followed by specialist training at Macquarie University’s ALERT Institute, where I learned the language of Lymph. My practice primarily focuses on facial, cervical (of the neck), and abdominal lymphatics.
I advocate for early intervention, for models of care that listen, not only to numbers and quantifiable data, but to the skin, to patterns and to symptoms.
As a member of the Australian Physiotherapy Association and an accredited practitioner through the Australasian Lymphoedema Association, I sit firmly within the clinical — but my work is also relational; it is tender, somatic. slow.
My treatment room is a place where we honour the intelligence of the body and the wisdom carries. My practice goes beyond protocols, it is about presence, listening to the tissues and tending to the space between the clinical and the quiet.
This work continues to show me how the body holds what the voice sometimes cannot. And how healing is so often about remembrance and belonging, not only repair.
If you’ve found your way here, perhaps your body is ready to be met in that space too.
With care, Angélica.
