Yesterday marked 29 years since Leabrook Place opened it's doors - coincidentally one of the first residents, now in her 99th year has just reluctantly left to receive higher care! Our residents shared the birthday with a fabulous layered sponge from Dulwich Bakery - deliciousness 💛

The June Mystery Bus Trip arranged by care and wellness coordinator Dani McKenna chose a unique spot at Sellicks Hill to visit the Nan Hai Pu Tuo Temple - female Buddha which is seen as 'The Goddess of Mercy' and said to bring peace, harmony and wealth to SA. This is the only one in the Southern Hemisphere. She is 18 metres tall and weighs approx. 350 tonne. A truly amazing site to behold. The Glenbrook

Anzac Day at Leabrook Place - big shout out to Katherine Wise our resident manager for organizing a successful service and record attendance! Thanks also to Michael the bugler from the Australian Army Band who kindly gave us his time to perform the last post, Father Lyndon Shakespeare from St David’s church at Burnside and Jim Hazel our Chairman who said a few words.

More shenanigans at this morning's Easter morning tea for the residents at LBP - raffles and prizes were drawn and another win for our Sales Manager Lyn - she won yesterday at The Glenbrook and now again - kindly she will be donating it back but I suggested she buy a Lotto ticket today! 🤩
