How Inclusive Employment Australia helps autistic people find and keep the right job
Supporting an autistic young person (or adult) into work is not only about finding a job — it’s about finding a job that fits, and having support to stay in it.
Delivered by ProActiv People in partnership with Autism SA, Inclusive Employment Australia supports people with:
✅Job preparation and confidence-building
✅Training and personalised guidance
✅Connections to inclusive employers
✅Support for workplaces to make practical adjustments (roles, environments, expectations)
✅Ongoing support once work begins to help people settle in and stay in work
Real‑life situations where employment support can make a difference include when an autistic person:
✅wants to work, but feels overwhelmed by interviews, applications or workplace expectations
✅needs support finding a job that matches their strengths, not just “any job”
✅starts a role but struggles with change, sensory environments or unclear expectations
✅requires workplace adjustments to keep the job sustainable
✅encounters challenges at work and needs ongoing support to resolve issues and stay employed
ProActiv People has hubs across South Australia, with immediate vacancies available in Elizabeth, Salisbury and Gawler.
