First day at the ACAud Conference in Gold Coast. We spent the day learning about Gene Therapy for progressive genetic loss in children - how amazing this research is! We also learnt about AI in hearing aids and what this means as well as how CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy) can help tinnitus, misophonia and hyperacusis. Also about the different types of dizziness presentations.

Whilst listening to presentations, we all wore a pair of the new hearing devices and boy, was it clear! The noise of the bartenders talking behind us was reduced, the hum of the air conditioner softened and the speakers voice was crystal clear. Hearing aids today have such advanced technology that they can connect directly to mobile phones for wireless streaming. This means you can answer you phone through your hearing aids with amazing clarity as well as steam music or videos directly to your aids.

Most hearing aids also have an app which allows you to control the volume and settings of your hearing aids.

Our amazing front desk staff are trained in Hearing aid Bluetooth connectivity and can help you straight away for any pairing, connectivity or steaming issues. Very helpful if you have e got a new phone or have lost a setting.

What are the advantages of Bluetooth connectivity to hearing aids?
1. It provides crystal clear sound for phone calls and media. In other words, you can answer your phone and hear it in stereo in both ears without everyone else hearing the phone call (which is what happens when you use loudspeaker).

2. It also means you can hear your phone ringing even if it is in another room or in a handbag.

3. The media streaming is so excellent because you never need headphones ever again. Music, YouTube, videos and social media sounds will stream directly to your aids without disturbing anyone else.

4. Most hearing aids also have an app which allows you to control the volume and programs in your hearing aids!
Certainly an amazing feature to have in modern hearing aids today!
