The results are in—and they back what we’ve known all along.

Psychosocial recovery coaching works 💥

In partnership with the NDIS and One Good* Day, the Centre for Social Impact explored how recovery coaching impacts the lives of people with psychosocial disability. The findings?

It’s about more than just ticking NDIS boxes—it’s about connection, hope, identity, meaning, and real recovery 💛

At One Good* Day, we’ve always believed that when you put people with lived experience at the centre, powerful things happen. This research shows just how powerful.

Let’s keep pushing for support systems that actually support people 🙌

This study explores the impact of psychosocial recovery coaching within the NDIS, highlighting alignment with the CHIME-D recovery framework and emphasizing the importance of personal recovery outcomes for people with psychosocial disability.

‘One step at a time is all it takes to get you there.’ - Emily Dickinson 🙌

Recovery is all about taking small steps. The thing is, not all these steps will be linear - sometimes our journeys can take us up and down, side to side, or on a completely different path to the one we started on.

No matter the obstacles, every step is a chance to grow. It’s an opportunity to try something new, break down a barrier, and discover your one good* day.

Take your first step in your recovery journey to see if you are eligible for Psychosocial Recovery Coaching by hitting the link in our bio ☝️

Trust isn't built overnight—but over time, with consistency, care, and someone who shows up no matter what.

For many of our clients, like the one behind this testimonial, life can be overwhelming. That’s why having a Recovery Coach who truly shows up—like Anthony—makes all the difference.

One Good* Day is here for the long haul.

I would recommend them to anyone. OG*D Client.' A large black asterisk is positioned in the top right corner.

Good communication isn’t always easy — but it matters.
Talking about mental health can feel awkward, exposing, or even pointless when you're in a rough patch. But connection does help, even if it takes time to find the right fit.

🧍‍♂️ Find someone you trust — and try checking in with each other regularly.
👥 Being around people who get it can make the harder days feel less isolating.
🔁 If a service or support doesn’t work for you, that’s not failure — that’s feedback. Try something else.

It’s not about fixing everything overnight — just finding what helps, and holding onto it.

Every step in your mental health journey matters – even the small ones. 🌱✨

Like a garden, your growth is shaped by all kinds of days – sunny, cloudy, restful, or active. What makes a good* day is different for everyone, and that’s the beauty of it. 🌤️🌿

So tell us – what does a good* day look like for you? ⬇️

Whether you're a sufferer-in-silence or a talk-your-issues-through kind of person, we all need to be understood. Heard. ...

Whether you're a sufferer-in-silence or a talk-your-issues-through kind of person, we all need to be understood. Heard. Recognised. Seen.

Mental illness and isolation often live hand-in-hand. With them come loneliness, shame, withdrawal and detachment, the typical responses for people experiencing psychosocial disability.

But what if you don't have to be alone? What would happen if, instead of shutting off, you told people you were in a fragile state of mind? Or that you needed support?

Instead of working through the bad* days on your own, consider doing the following:

👉 Find someone in your network to touch base with regularly. They can be a friend, family member or mentor. Let them in, and try to be there for them too.

👉 Join a support group or network with like-minded individuals. Often, just knowing that you're not alone makes braving the bad* days more tolerable.

👉 Find the right mental health professional, service or support for your needs. This might mean recognising when something isn't working and trying something else.

Everything we do at One Good* Day is premised on the power of relationship and trust - without which communication would be impossible.

If you're someone who finds it difficult to communicate with those around you when you're in a tough spot, our Recovery Coaches will be there to springboard ideas, listen, or sit in silence with you.

Falling down. Losing direction. Starting over — again and again. It’s not weakness, it’s endurance. Still here. Still going. That deserves to be seen.
