The Fronditha Care Foundation is proud to partner with the Hellenic Museum to bring ancient Greek artefacts to our much-loved elders.
Through this innovative outreach initiative, elders at our four facilities across Melbourne and social support groups, interacted with the Hellenic Museum’s handling collection of real and replica artefacts — including ancient coins, helmets and more.
Our elders played with ancient instruments and sang a song that is touted as being the oldest surviving complete musical composition.
Faye Spiteri OAM, CEO of Fronditha Care said: “This partnership celebrates and preserves the rich cultural heritage of the Greek diaspora, creating meaningful opportunities for elders to reconnect with their roots through art, history and storytelling in a tangible and deeply personal way. It’s more than a partnership — it’s a celebration of legacy, identity and community and we are very excited by the opportunity to collaborate further”.
