This NAIDOC Week, we honour 50 years of celebrating Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures, histories and achievements. At AOH, we are committed to fostering an inclusive learning environment that respects and integrates First Nations perspectives.

This years theme "The Next Generation: Strength, Vision & Legacy" reflects the strength of Indigenous communities, the leadership of young First Nations people, and the lasting legacy of Elders.

We recognise our role in empowering the next generation through education, promoting cultural understanding and supporting pathways to success for all learners.

We encourage everyone to engage thoughtfully with this year’s NAIDOC theme and to continue fostering inclusion and understanding through education.

Reconciliation is about strengthening relationships between Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and non-Indigenous peoples, for the benefit of all Australians. It’s something we all have a part in every day, not just this week.

Australia is one of the most culturally diverse countries in the world, and today we celebrate the strength, respect, and inclusivity that comes with it.

Nearly half of all Australians were born overseas or have a parent who was, and many bring invaluable skills, languages, and cultural understanding to healthcare settings. Inclusivity in healthcare means better communication, more compassionate care, and a stronger sense of belonging for everyone.

By embracing diversity, we create a stronger, more inclusive community, where everyone belongs.

Why Vative Healthcare was formed

Vative Healthcare was developed by two nurses wanting to make a difference to the healthcare industry through empowering staff to make positive changes in their organisation. Rather than the tradition top-down approach, they believed a β€˜galaxy’ approach of both bottom-up AND top-down would receive the best patient outcomes.
