Missing a workout or having a ‘bad’ week doesn’t make you a failure, it makes you human and is 100% part of the process!

The idea of a perfect training week each and every week is an unsustainable one. Things come up! Letting life get in the way of your training doesn’t mean you don’t prioritise it. It just means that life got in the way. Simple as that 💚

Instead of punishing yourself, use these weeks as a chance to reassess:

- Do I only ‘count’ something as a workout if I complete the entire thing?
- Do I write off the entire week if I miss one training session?
- Am I scheduling intimidatingly long workouts?

What could you change to help your training schedule fit better into your ‘busy’ weeks?

✅ Allow it to be okay if you only get half a workout done. Anything is better than nothing!
✅ Start each day fresh instead of ‘starting the week fresh’. If you miss one day there is always the next!
✅ Adjust your workouts to be more time friendly. Have the option for shorter and longer workouts that you can choose between depending on time constraints ⏰

If your dream body requires constant restriction, body checking, food anxiety and a rigid exercise routine.. that’s not sustainable.

We want you to get the absolute BEST out of your life experience. Eating nutritional foods and keeping your body both mobile and strong are important steps towards that 🙌

But often we lose sight of that goal and end up in a place where we are constantly battling with our body. Maintaining a body through fear, obsession or exhaustion is not a step towards your best life - it’s a trap.

Are fasted workouts really that great? 💭

If you want to maximise your training and get the most out of your session, more often than not, fuel will get you there!

The question really is: do you perform better fasted or fuelled? It’s worth trying both and seeing 🏋️‍♀️

Generally for women, fuelled is better. This is because fasted workouts can cause your cortisol levels to stay elevated and this affects your monthly cycle 🔄

Food anxiety around this time of year is totally normal! So it can be really helpful to remind yourself that health is a long term habit.

What you eat today or tomorrow won’t define you 💚

🍫 You don’t need to ‘reset’ you just need to remind yourself of the basics. Eat your three main meals each day and include your veggies.

🍫Chocolate can fit perfectly into a balanced diet! Including it as part of your snacks is a great way to regularly have foods you enjoy throughout the week.

🍫 Eating all the chocolate in your house in one go won’t be healthier than eating a little bit regularly over time

Why settle for ‘fine’?

It’s worth a quick check in: what are your reasons for skipping breakfast in the first place?

Ask yourself:

▶️ Would you have more energy if you had something to eat first thing in the morning?
▶️ Would you be in a better mood if you started the day with some fuel?
▶️ Would you snack less in the afternoon if you ate more earlier in the day?

You don’t HAVE to have breakfast but it’s important to know why you’re skipping it - and is it really for the best?

For the vast majority of people, we feel and function much better if we eat something first thing 🥣🍎
