We’re excited to share that the Nowra Medicare Urgent Care Clinic is now open for walk-in urgent medical needs.

Our GP clinic remains open and committed to continuing to provide comprehensive, ongoing care to our wonderful community. We’re still here for your regular appointments, chronic disease management, care plans, and all your general practice needs — just as we always have been.

Welcome to the team Dr Fairuz Osman.
Dr Fairuz Osman is an experienced General Practitioner who has been working in clinical practice since 2008 and obtained her Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP) in 2020.
She is pleased to be joining the local community and is currently accepting new patients.

Dr Osman provides comprehensive, patient-centred care across all stages of life, with a strong focus on preventative health, early intervention, and long-term wellbeing.
Special interests include:
Women’s Health, including:
o Antenatal care
o Menopause management
o Sexual health
o Contraception counselling and procedures
• Child Health
• Chronic Disease Management
• Acute Care for urgent and same-day medical concerns

Dr Osman is committed to delivering compassionate, evidence-based care and working collaboratively with patients to support their health goals.

📣 An Update for our Patients & Community

With today’s public announcement of the new Medicare Urgent Care Clinic, we can now share an update with you all.

Our general practice is not closing, changing, or becoming harder to access.
You can continue booking and attending appointments exactly as you always have.

We are currently redeveloping part of our building to create a brand-new Medicare Urgent Care Clinic, which will operate separately from our existing general practice. This means the urgent care clinic will have its own dedicated GPs and nurses, while still sharing our same friendly admin team who will be there to check you in and welcome you — just like always.

Here’s what this means for our community:

✅️ You’ll keep seeing your usual GP team in the general practice

✅️ The urgent care clinic will provide bulk-billed care for urgent (but non-life-threatening) needs

✅️ Both services will operate side-by-side under one roof, each with a clear purpose

We’ll keep everyone updated as construction progresses and we move closer to opening.

📢Important Billing Update – Effective 1 November 2025

From 1 November 2025, our clinic will be bulk billing all standard GP consultations for patients with a valid and up-to-date Medicare card.
This includes both in-person and telephone consultations.

👉Please note:
Some services are not covered under this Medicare initiative and will continue to incur private fees. These may include (but are not limited to):
• Minor surgical procedures
• Allied Health and Specialist appointments
• Medicals (e.g. pre-employment, driver’s licence, insurance forms)
• Sutures, wound care and other treatment room procedures
• Paperwork or reports not funded by Medicare

Our team will always advise you in advance if any out-of-pocket fees apply to your visit.

We know billing updates can be confusing, so if you’re ever unsure — please ask! Our friendly reception team is here to help clarify any fees and make your experience as smooth as possible.
