We often hear clients say they want to start training to 'look good' or 'lose weight'. But let us remind you that there are MANY other benefits to strength training.
Strength training is vital for performing daily activities, maintaining independence, and preventing age related decline.

Certifications: III & IV in Fitness, Currently undertaking a Bachelor of Nutrition and Dietetics

Why did you enter the industry: I have always had a passion for health and exercise. With a background in swimming, I learnt that training for performance-based goals can benefit how we apply ourselves in and out of the gym - even if that goal is to perform everyday tasks in a functional way!
I love the way exercise makes me feel, physically and mentally, and the lifestyle that it induces. In turn, I want to help others on their journey to finding a healthy, functional, and balanced lifestyle too!

My last meal: bao buns and kimchi loaded fries :)

Meet Nicky!

The newest addition to our team, Nicky has 27 years industry experience and covers a range of modalities! Here's a little bit of info on her background.

Qualifications:

Master Trainer - Cert III/IV in fitness
Yoga Instructor
Reformer Pilates Instructor
Zumba Instructor

Why did you enter the industry and what is your 'why'?

I started dancing when I was 7 years old and found a joy and passion in moving my body every day. I became a fitness professional to help inspire others to move like they love themselves, prioritise their health and live life without health restrictions. Most people dont know just how good their bodies are meant to feel.

Why you entered the industry?
I find the human body quite inetresting and I love the satisfaction of helping people. Having always played sport I really wanted to get into this line of work, however, what really kick started my journey was an admiration of some great gym coaches and from there I knew I wanted to be in this industry.

Your Fit is all about you! We are personal trainers and dietitians because we genuinely believe everyone is different and that is where the idea of your fit was born. One size doesn’t fit all, so don’t try and do what your neighbour did or don’t try and replicate your colleagues program, you need to find what suits you and thats where we come in!

What We Do

It has been a labour of love for us for close to a decade now and has built into a space and place where people feel comfortable being themselves in a well supported friendly environment. We have a focus on sustained weight loss, functional body movement and rehabilitation as well as a whole heap of FUN! We are really proud of Your Fit and welcome anyone who has been let down by a trainer, wanting to try exercise for the first time or wanting a change to their normal routine to please get in touch.
