Bushgardens Zen

Bushgardens Zen Outdoor seated meditation on the first and third Sundays of the month. We sit in the Barossa Bushgardens for 1 hour, with a short interval of walking.

Public toilets are available. Bring a chair, hat & water. Meet at the Old Gum Tree at 9 30 am.

Hello everyone, we are meeting again this Sunday, July 6th. Rug up. We will sit in a very sheltered spot. Showers are not forecast for Nuriootpa at the time we are due to sit, but make sure you dress warmly. Meet at the Old Gum Tree at 9 30 am.

Hello everyone, we are meeting again on Sunday 15 June. It will be cold, so dress warmly and bring a blanket if you wish. We will find a sheltered place to sit amongst the bushland and the bird song. The birds will be active after the recent rains and we can be there to hear them. Meet at the Old Gum Tree at 9 30 am. A chair will be provided if you don't bring one. All welcome. Hello everyone, we are meeting on Sunday, June 1st, the first day of winter. The weather forecast is favourable for outdoor sitting, but dress warmly, nevertheless, and bring a blanket if you wish. At our last meeting we chose the open bushland on the eastern side of the gardens. The sun was warm and the breeze was cool, and our faces enjoyed both at the same time. Meanwhile, the magpies chorused. Delightful! We meet at the Old Gum Tree at 9 30 am. A chair will be provided if you don't bring one. All welcome.

There is a small group of us who intend to sit twice a month into the winter months. Normally we stop sitting at the end of April, but as we are finding the practice of meditation in the Bushgardens so enjoyable and beneficial we have made the decision to continue into winter. We are taking the starting time back to the original 9 30 am, to allow the sun to climb higher in the sky, and we'll sit somewhere sheltered and sunny. Bring a blanket for the knees, if you wish. Come and join us, this Sunday 18th May. We meet at the Old Gum Tree at 9 30 and then move deeper into the gardens.

Hello everyone, we meet again on Sunday 16th March at 9 am at the Old Gum Tree. There is a chance of a shower or two (0-4 mm the forecast says). How delightful! If it showers, we'll find a dry spot to shelter in, and sit and listen.
