The Barossa Youth Options (Duke of Ed) participants brought the energy to the Rex Rec Centre, diving into pickleball, badminton and basketball for an action-packed session! ๐Ÿ’ช

There was plenty of friendly competition, great sportsmanship and strong teamwork on display. Everyone stepped up, gave it a go and encouraged each other throughout the morning โ€” exactly what The Duke of Edinburgh International Award is all about.

This session supports the Physical Recreation component of the Award, while also building confidence, resilience and communication skills along the way.

This is a community effort. By working together, we strengthen local businesses, open new pathways for people with disability and build a more inclusive, capable and future-ready workforce for the Barossa.

The Barossa Youth Options (Duke of Ed) group hit the Nuriootpa - Angaston walking trail for a scenic hike, enjoying the fresh air and beautiful surroundings along the way.

After stretching their legs, it was time to get creative with some art โ€” the perfect balance of movement and imagination.

SUMMER CAMP 2026 ๐Ÿ’›

Another Summer Camp has come to an end, and what a truly special weekend it was at Mylor Adventure Camp.

This camp wasnโ€™t just about activities โ€” it was about moments.
Moments of courage before climbing a little higher.
Moments of laughter echoing across the water during canoeing.
Moments of cheering each other on at the giant swing, the challenge course, and in the pool.

For some, this was their very first time away on camp.
For others, it meant finding the confidence to try something completely new.
For many, it was about reconnecting with friends, building new friendships, growing independence, and discovering just how brave they really are.

There were nerves, there were proud smiles, there were happy tearsโ€ฆ and there were a lot of laughs. These are the weekends that build memories which last far beyond the camp itself.

To our incredible staff โ€” thank you. Your care, patience, encouragement and energy are what make an event like this possible. ๐Ÿ™

๐ŸŒฟ Barossa Youth Options x Duke of Edinburgh Adventure! ๐ŸŒฟ

Participants of the Barossa Youth Group (The Duke of Ed) recently enjoyed a beautiful walk around the Barossa Bushgardens, soaking up some fresh air and getting out in nature.๐ŸŒžAfter their adventure, everyone came back and got hands-on in the kitchen, making loaded hot dogs for lunch ๐ŸŒญ. Participants jumped in to help with prep and cooking โ€” and it was a delicious success!

This activity is a perfect example of the Duke of Edinburgh framework in action:

Hereโ€™s a closer look at whatโ€™s changing, and why.

Weโ€™re introducing an automated palletisation system to improve export productivity, increase consistency and meet commercial expectations. This includes expanded storage for higher pallet production and site works for a new shed and logistics hub to support future growth.

Weโ€™re also launching SKILLS PLUS, a new program helping people with intellectual and neurodiverse disabilities build the skills, confidence and experience they need to move into jobs of their choice.

These changes strengthen our organisation and create meaningful pathways into long-term, inclusive employment.

๐Ÿ‡ Vintage in the Barossa is Underway! ๐Ÿ‡

Participants wanted to know what vintage entails and they had a fun and hands-on day learning exactly what grape harvest and winemaking looks like โ€“ Barossa style! We took a step back in time to see how our forefathers processed grapes without modern machinery, and discovered it was all about treading grapes with your feet! ๐Ÿ‘ฃ

Everyone had a go at making our own โ€œwineโ€ by stomping on some firm, ripe grapes in a bucket โ€“ lots of giggles and squishy toes involved! (Donโ€™t worry โ€“ feet were washed before and after, and our โ€œfoot wineโ€ was not for drinking!) ๐Ÿ˜„

A perfect mix of history, hands-on learning, and a whole lot of fun in the heart of the Barossa.
