🍽️ Let’s Lunch Altogether! 🍽️

Looking for good company, great conversations, and a reason to get out and about in the beautiful Barossa? Join us for Let’s Lunch Altogether – a warm, welcoming social outing held on the first Thursday of every month from 12 noon to 2pm.

Originally created as a way to bring comfort and connection to those who had lost a partner, the group has naturally grown into a caring and inclusive space for CHSP and Brokerage clients – whether you're attending on your own or with a loved one. It’s all about enjoying time together in a friendly, supportive environment.

Each month, the group decides together where they'd like to go (always somewhere local in the Barossa), then meets at the chosen venue. It’s just $5 to attend, plus the cost of your own meal. (Brokerage clients attend as per their Service Agreement.)

Whether you’re reconnecting or meeting new faces, everyone is welcome. It’s a relaxed way to share a meal and some laughter with a friendly group.

Celebrating the talents, potential, and possibilities of young people everywhere!
Today we celebrate the power of skills in shaping a brighter, more inclusive future for young people around the world.

From digital literacy to leadership, creativity to caregiving — young people bring a broad and valuable range of skills to our communities. Carers & Disability Link recognise this, especially through our work with our Young Carers Program. Many of these young people develop vital life skills early – resilience, empathy, problem-solving, and responsibility – yet often go unrecognised.

Through peer support, skill-building opportunities, and tailored programs, CADL helps Young Carers feel empowered, supported, and confident in their abilities – now and into the future.

🌟 Foundational Pathways Program – Empowering Carers of Children with Additional Needs 🌟

CADL’s Foundational Pathways Program (FPP) is all about supporting Carers of children with learning difficulties or disabilities.

This free program offers ongoing, tailored support designed to:
✅ Reduce isolation
✅ Build confidence
✅ Provide practical tools to help Carers navigate the challenges of supporting a child with additional needs

Through group workshops, peer connection, and unique experiences, FPP helps Carers feel seen, supported, and empowered – because no one should have to walk the journey alone.

🎨 As part of our recent FPP offerings, Carers came together for an Art Class in Mindfulness facilitated by the talented Glass Hippo.

This calming session introduced watercolours as a tool for mindful reflection, creativity, and self-care – with plenty of good company and a delicious morning tea to share.

It’s these small but powerful moments of connection and creativity that make a difference in the lives of Carers.

💛 Because supporting Carers goes beyond services – it’s about creating space to breathe, connect, and feel uplifted.
