Welcome to a new year filled with hopes and positivity all around !!
Hello friends, the holiday season is over for most of us by now, I know there are a few lucky ones out there enjoying a longer than usual holiday break, and I wish them the best of luck. This holiday season generally over-stresses our digestive system due to overeating and drinking, and that too most of the time in an incompatible way that is not conducive to our digestive system.
I would like to share a few suggestions with you that will help you to slowly bring this over-stressed digestive system to a more balanced state, assuming you were in a well balanced state.
1) Do not eat if you are not feeling for it. You might not be feeling for it because there are chances of undigested food in the gut, or accumulation of toxins. In both cases, you need to eat light or even skip a meal if you are not feeling for it. You may need to detoxify your body as well depending upon your situation.
2) Drink lukewarm water only. I know we are accustomed to drinking cold water but you will realize how drinking lukewarm water enhances your digestion.
3) If possible, consume a couple of slices of fresh ginger soaked with lime and black salt 20 minutes before your meal.
4) Choose warm and fresh cooked food over frozen or processed meals.
5) Avoid carbonated drinks. I know it's tough but these drinks hinder the digestion process.
