We know we’ll cross the finish line exhausted and blistered, but that’s nothing compared to what people with mitochondrial disease (mito) go through every day of their lives.

Whether you are setting up the fireplace, snuggling in with a hot drink, or cooking up a feast in the kitchen, there can be risks of minor burns.

Most burns will heal themselves in 10 to 12 days. If the burn doesn’t have any blisters, a simple moisturiser such as sorbolene is the best treatment.

For all other burns, seek medical advice for appropriate dressings.

I was saddened to hear that this afternoon one of my clinic staff was verbally abused by 2 members of the public while attempting to put her car in our ambulance bay to load and unload clinic stock.
Whilst I appreciate the public looking out for us in making sure the ambulance bay is utilised for its purpose, i do ask that if you have any concerns or notice anyone not doing the right thing, to please contact us direct for us to handle personally.
This would be muchly appreciated.
