Our Support Services Team at Central have been participating in the Return and Earn initiative, recycling plastic bottles and cans to save these from landfill.

Using the funds raised through this initiative, an interactive pet cat was purchased, offering companionship and joy to our residents in our memory support unit at Warrigal Coniston. 🐈

Recently, Lily, one of our wonderful volunteers who also assists with the Return and Earn initiative, delivered this special companion. Our residents were extremely excited to receive this cat, bringing a big smile to their faces!

Thank you to everyone who has contributed to this initiative, supporting our residents in a meaningful way, all whilst protecting our planet. 💜

The animal therapy fun has continued!

Matilda's Farmyard Nursery recently visited our very excited residents at Mt Warrigal - and what a fantastic visit it was! 🐮

Everyone had a lovely time out in the sunshine feeding, patting and cuddling the adorable animals. These furry friends were sure to bring smiles all round, with the llama and calf being especially popular. ☀️

The delightful miniature pony visits continue across our homes! This time, Mac visited our residents at Wollongong.🐴

Everyone had a blast during this memorable morning visit that sparked much joy within the home.

Animal therapy is a wonderful way to bring the fun and engage our residents, whilst reducing stress and boosting moods. ✨

We’re proud to share that Roger Downs, our Deputy Chairman, was awarded with the Medal of the Order of Australia (OAM) in the 2026 Australia Day Honours! ⭐️

This national recognition reflects Roger’s decades of service, voluntarily providing legal counsel, governance guidance and board oversight to charities and organisations across the Illawarra, helping vulnerable individuals.

Roger joined as a Company Member on the 28th January 1997 – 29 years ago today, and has significantly contributed to our achievements through his dedication and leadership.

Congratulations Roger on this outstanding achievement and for the extraordinary difference you make within the community. 🎉

On Monday, our beloved Wollongong resident, Petronella, known as Nel, turned 100! 🎉

Nel marked this incredible milestone surrounded by her family, friends and fellow residents who joined for a lovely birthday celebration, complete with a beautiful cake and a special interview on the news.

Known for making a good cup of tea and always making sure the Monopoly board was set up properly when on family holidays, Nel said that it felt unbelievable to be turning 100.

Happy birthday Nel, we hope you enjoyed your special day! 💜

Meet Annette, one of our beloved Figtree villagers.

Annette is an active member within the community, having dedicated an outstanding 30 years to volunteering for NSW Police.

Recently, Annette received a Community Recognition Statement from Minister Ryan Park, acknowledging the incredible difference she makes within the community through her service as a police volunteer.

What’s not to love about Hephner? 🦙

Visits from Hephner the Alpaca are always a highlight at Goulburn. Stopping by and making a visit every 6 weeks, Hephner brings great joy to our residents who always love to say hello and give him a pat.

Our Mt Warrigal residents enjoyed some jewellery making fun! ✨

Putting their design skills to the test, everyone had a great afternoon choosing from a range of coloured beads, creating beautiful bracelets together. The results certainly didn’t disappoint and made great additions to our resident’s outfits!
