It is with mixed feelings that Tony and Gillian wish to announce our retirement on 3rd June 2025.
This will subsequently end the long-standing involvement of the O’Connor family with the pharmacy, however O’Connor’s Pharmacy and its trusted team will remain.
Tony and Gillian both feel that we are leaving the pharmacy in good hands, with new owners who will endeavour to implement fresh ideas and an enthusiastic approach to grow the pharmacy long into the future. Pharmacy, like all businesses, is under a phase of rapid change, as new digital platforms evolve, and as Pharmacists enter a period where Full Scope of Practice will soon be the norm. This will bring with it a whole new range of services that our profession can offer its’ customers and patients.
It is our pleasure to introduce Sharief and Assaad to you as the new owners of O’Connor’s Pharmacy. They are committed to both a traditional and progressive model of Community Pharmacy, and they bring with them a depth of experience. They wish to continue the operation of the pharmacy in the same style as Tony and Gillian, and to continue a service orientated and professional health care delivery model.
O’Connor’s Pharmacy has prided itself upon a model of striving to achieve professional excellence by providing consistently good service and advice, and cost-effective health care products, for the provision of optimal health outcomes for all its customers. With the expertise of new owners and youth on their side, we believe they will propel the business to further growth into the future.
Tony and Gillian wish to thank the people of Oatley and the broader community, for trusting us with your healthcare needs, and for supporting our small business over the past 35 years. For some of you this loyalty extends further back to Tony’s parents, Terry and Lorraine, who opened O’Connor’s Pharmacy on 9th December 1959.
