Vitamin D protects telomeres!

Results from a large, randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled trial reveal that vitamin D supplementation helps maintain telomeres, protective caps at the ends of chromosomes that shorten during aging and are linked to the development of certain diseases.

The trial involved over 25,000 participants in the USA.

“VITAL is the first large-scale and long-term randomized trial to show that vitamin D supplements protect telomeres and preserve telomere length,” said co-author JoAnn Manson, the principal investigator of VITAL (VITamin D and OmegA-3 TriaL).

Blue light reduces blood pressure!

In a study conducted at Britain's University of Surrey, blue light sessions resulted in a blood pressure reduction similar to what is seen in trials of blood pressure-lowering medications.

"Exposure to blue light provides an innovative method to precisely control blood pressure without drugs," says U Surrey's Prof. Christian Heiss.

Previous studies have suggested that blue light also fights infections and helps people recover from stress.

UVB is better for your gut than supplements

Multiple sclerosis (MS) and inflammatory bowel diseases (IBD) are called idiopathic diseases, which means “they” don’t really know the cause apart from vaguely described changes in our modern lifestyle and environment, including decreased exposure to sunlight/UVB light which impairs production of vitamin D.

Researchers at the University of British Columbia in Vancouver, Canada exposed healthy human female volunteers to UVB to increase their vitamin D blood levels to see how the makeup of their intestinal microbiome was affected. A control group was given vitamin D supplements.

The UVB study group showed overt, positive changes in gut bacteria, much more so than the control group who took only supplements. MS and IBD have shown seasonal patterns of severity that are now strongly associated with vitamin D levels.

Remote Blu Room sessions uplift the mind and body

I’d just like to share that I've had great help from the Blu Room with remote sessions. Here in Germany, it is possible to have a session with either some hair or a picture of you that is put into the Blu Room while you lay in your bed at home listening to the same music.

During the sessions I could really feel the frequency and saw great rejuvenation of the body afterwards similar to the Blu Room sessions I had done in person.

I think this is a great opportunity for people who don't have a Blu Room close as well as for people who are too sick to leave home or are in a hospital. You don't get the vitamin D of course, but the light value definitely increases and uplifts the mind and body.

Vitamin D lowers blood pressure: People who have higher vitamin D intake tend to have LOWER blood pressure.

Vitamin D can moderate the systems that control blood pressure. Researchers looked at many studies involving people with hypertension. The people with the highest vitamin D levels had a 30 percent lower risk of developing hypertension compared to the people with the lowest levels of vitamin D.

The connection between vitamin D and telomerase

A survey done 2016 studied the association of telomere length and vitamin D levels in US adults. The National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey supported a positive association between vitamin D blood levels and telomere length.

In 2007, 2,160 women in the United Kingdom participated in a study to examine the effect between higher serum vitamin D concentrations and longer telomere length. A longer telomere length comes with increased serum vitamin D concentrations. The body’s ability to create vitamin D tends to slow with age, as well as telomere length. These markers are regarded as aging signals. The researchers have shown, “that the positive association between leucocyte telomere length and vitamin D concentrations is independent of age and many other variables.”

REMOTE Blu Room experience with

Early one Friday morning, I woke up quite dizzy. From the moment I sat up, the room started moving around me. With my eyes open, the intensity and speed of the room spinning increased. With my eyes closed, I felt like I was falling backwards into an abyss. I was afraid. I was stuck between not opening nor closing my eyes. Neither could I lay down because of the falling backward sensation. Six hours later, the dizziness had not dissipated. I was stuck in one spot and calculating if I had the energy to just take care of the most basic of human needs.

Around noon, I got the idea to do a remote Blu Room session and was able to schedule an appointment for 2 p.m. that same day. Two hours felt like an eternity, but it eventually came. I lay down on the sofa and surrendered to the agreed appointment at 2 p.m.

When I opened my eyes at 3 p.m., the room did not move. Everything came into focus without spinning. The intense spinning had stopped. I took my first breath of relief.

This change from the hours of intense nonstop motion, I fully attribute to the remote Blu Room session. What a blessing of healing the Blu Room has been in my life. It has helped me maintain my equilibrium through the madness of these times.
