Loving our content and want to be a part of our events? Visit our website or reach out to Kristy and the team to find out how you can become a part of the Inspire Inclusion family. With different events and activities happening frequently in our community, make sure you enquire so you can get in amongst the action.

What activities and events do we do? Here's a snapshot:
✅ Camp events and retreats

✅ Team initiative adventure days
✅ Outdoor treetop climbing
✅ Escape and challenge rooms

These are just a few of the activities we get up to at Inspire, each with their own purpose. Each outing or event assists our participants in learning crucial life skills to further enhance and develop their abilities.

Tuesday Tips! Here are 5 easy ways to regulate when you feel overwhelmed in a public place.

1. Grounding - notice 5 things you see, 4 things you can touch/feel, 3 things you can hear, 2 things you can smell, and one thing you can taste. This will help bring your senses back down to reality.

2. Slow your breath - inhale for 4 seconds, hold for 2 seconds, and then exhale for 6 seconds slowly and repeatedly until you start to feel calmer.

3. Gain stability - press your feet down on the ground or place your hands on a surface.

4. Use a mantra - repeat it to yourself or in your mind until you feel safe. You could repeat something like "I am safe" or "This will pass."

5. Refocus yourself - step away from the situation, or focus your attention on one calm, neutral thing, maybe an object in the distance.
