Gentle Yoga

Gentle Yoga This Yoga is gentle. The focus is creating body/mind awareness, strength and flexibility . The group sessions are also influenced by the students who attend.

I have been teaching yoga since 2000 in various settings ranging from Community & Fitness Centres to Aged Care Facilities. My background is based on a Yoga-Cise teachers training (now Yoga Health), theoretically founded on the Shivananda Yoga School literature, FINY (friends in Yoga) has also played an important part of my teaching. In the Yoga-cise training, Feldenkrais movements were integrated

to make postures more accessible. My teaching has recently been influenced by classes and workshops that I have attended from Mark Whitwell, Mary Swan and Diane Long. The meditations are inspired by spiritual teacher Shantimayi, Linda Clair, Pranayama and Yoga Nidra.
