When life delivers you challenges...grit, heaviness and overwhelm ...can you simply sit in the middle of the present moment?
Buddha says we ALL suffer.
Life, death and everything in between, delivers us experiences that can and will cause you upheaval.
Buddha also says all suffering is caused by preferences.
When life delivers an experience, we can wish it to be over, demand it change, scream how unfair....
However, we CAN'T change the experiences ...the world unfolds before us ....what we CAN choose is the way we respond and react.
In the midst of the heaviness, can you stop judging and desiring that things be a certain way and simply choose to be in that experience fully? Pushing against that experience will not change it!
Can you sit in the centre of each moment and allow it to be? It's not giving up or surrendering ...it's about choosing how we respond to each opportunity whether it is good, bad or ugly.
Open into the spaciousness of the moment and each experience and practice choosing how you respond to life ππ

A beautiful peaceful space in our garden.
The calmness and beauty allows me to connect and drink in the silence and the divine melodic birds singing. After a short time I feel revived, connected, steady and calm. π
When you are busy, stressed, anxious, overwhemed...can you find your own peaceful space in nature?
It could be your garden, the park, a walk on the beach or in the forest. You don't need a large space but it should feel nurturing and restorative.
As you connect into the steadiness beneath you, drink in the beauty, the sounds and smells.
Just a short break allows your serotonin levels to rise and your sense of peace, harmony and well-being to be activated. Just Be πππ

Sometimes we can wait in anticipation for something wonderful.
We can invest everything we have believing that this moment or this holiday or relationship will be IT!!!
Can you today rest in awareness of each moment holding beauty, abundance, wonder and potential?
When we wait for something BIG to happen we can miss the subtle treasures of the moment that we are in.
Today simply surrender and Be ...be open in anticipation that each moment is a true gem β€οΈ

Try to be with your sensations, feelings, experiences and thoughts today. Be really gentle with yourself...notice what is happening in your body and allow it all to be and flow.
When we hold on tightly to a sensation or experience and we don't like what we is happening in that moment, it can get stuck rather than flow through you. It can become a trigger for future moments
Become a river of experience and energy ...feel it fully and relax into it. Whether it is something that challenges you or something you hold onto because it feels so amazing...let it all flow.

Try this....
Be present with whatever you are experiencing
Sip your tea or coffee with full awareness
Eat your lunch without distraction, taste every mouthful
In conversation, listen with your heart and eyes
Be present with your body, rest if you need
When your mind is busy...just follow your breath for 5 to 8 counts, inhale, exhale.
Smile to a stranger today and be mindful of others
Don't be hard on yourself...the first step is always the hardest β€οΈ π

Remember to give your pooch an extra cuddle.
Dogs are the most incredibly compassionate and unconditional loving sentient beings. They can teach us soooo much about being present, deep listening, fun, joy and that unconditional love.
They help nurture us, comfort us and pick up our spirits when we are feeling low.
Let's celebrate our gorgeous canine companions every day β€οΈ

A moment when you connect with true presence...whether it be through a smile, a word of greeting, a kind word or gesture, a compliment, a helping hand.
We never know what another being is going through and that one moment you authentically connect could make the biggest difference in their day. π
