Charmaine was born and bred in Geelong. After almost 30 years spent living in Melbourne (twice), split by a stint living in London and travelling Europe, Charmaine has recently realised the long-held vision of a move to the Bellarine Peninsula, putting down roots in Ocean Grove with her partner Adam and their 3 ½ year old son, Dusty and re-establishing Vitalic Myotherapy in OG.
Having spent many years in high paced, corporate jobs (Westpac, Transurban, Selfridges, Westfield, Unilever), it was following Charmaine’s overseas travels through South America, Europe, Africa, and Asia over the course of 6 years, that a shift in personal and career goals took place.
The realisation came while backpacking through India and spending time at yoga Ashram’s in Northern India.
Back in Australia, Charmaine commenced studying the Diploma of Remedial Massage in 2012 and followed with the Advanced Diploma of Myotherapy (Charmaine is also currently completing a Degree in Exercise Science). After gaining experience working in several different multi-modality clinics and working closely with a number of mentors who are exemplary in the industry, Charmaine made the move to open her own clinic, Vitalic Health (now known as Vitalic Myotherapy) in 2014.
Charmaine’s style incorporates a strong knowledge of the human anatomy and mechanics complimented by a sporting background, through previous experience as Myotherapist to the Victorian Institute of Sport Gymnastics (Working with Children check) and the North Brunswick Football Club, qualified Personal Trainer as well as her own personal pursuits such as long distance running, the practice of Yoga, CrossFit training, trekking and scuba diving.
