Rebecca has a wide variety of experience in treating muscular pain and dysfunction in the sporting industry. Her experiences include working with the Australian Ballet Company, elite Australian athletes and cyclists, Commonwealth Games runners, AFL, cricket, tennis, golf, soccer, gridiron, baseball, surfing, ironmen and lifesaving. Rebecca played an integral role within a football club’s medical team responsible for diagnosis and treatment of all injuries for 9 years. The aims and techniques of Myotherapy are to promote healing in soft tissue by increasing blood flow, increase joint flexibility and range of movement and deactivating muscular trigger points that cause local and referred pain using myofascial release, myofascial dry needling (muscular acupuncture), trigger point therapy with deep tissue massage, cupping, and soft tissue stretching.
