Sleep Posture๐๐
We spend a third of our lives in bed, so posture matters. If you wake up stiff or sore, your sleeping position may be the cause. Proper posture should maintain the spine's natural curves.
The Best Postures:
1. Back Sleeping: The best way to maintain a neutral spine. Use an appropriately sized pillow and consider placing one under your knees to reduce lower back strain.
2. Side Sleeping: Lengthens the spine and can reduce reflux. Placing a pillow between your legs helps keep hips neutral.
3. Foetal Position: Common, but can strain spinal joints and restrict breathing if you are curled too tightly.
4. Stomach Sleeping: Places significant strain on the neck and can cause numbness or tingling in the arms.
