She Breathes A warm welcome to you. I guide women who feel lost and have closed their eyes to their own needs and A Warm Welcome to you.

My name is Natalie and this is my business She Breathes. I love creating spaces for people to sparkle! This new experience is taking me on a wonderful journey. My newest adventure has gifted me with being able to create beautiful experiences for women through breath. I have become a Breathwork Facilitator (Pause Breathwork Certified). Taking women on a journey back to themselves. When I was at the beginning of my mothering journey, I noticed how easily I would put myself last and soon forgot to put myself on the list at all. Breathwork gives you the space to spend time with yourself. It allows you the chance to check in and reflect on how your week is going and what needs to happen for you to be a part of it. Doing more of the things you love, so that you can feel energised and truly alive each and every day. xx

13. Household Harmony, Domestic Dynamics and the 'Invisible Work'

It's a little bit funny now, but it's taken a while for me to be able to really communicate clearly, the expectations I have of my family when I go out, and also if these expectations are really necessary.

Often I would arrive home after a fun evening out, and start to fix up the house. I would go around the loungeroom and straighten cushions. I would head into the kitchen and clean up plates, dishes, wipe benches and reset knowing that this would save me time the next day.

Sometimes I would be doing this at a ridiculous hour like 10.30, 11pm at night depending on when I arrived home.

Hubby got a bit done with the whole routine and I guess through my display of frustration and huffing and puffing, or maybe it was the the martyr in me, he decided to keep things as tidy as possible so I didn't have to go around doing that.

However, how easy would it have been for me to just have a conversation with him, instead of spending all of that extra energy making a point.

Whose problem was it??

Mel and I go through some interesting themes in this episode, looking at the natural roles in the household that seem to get automatically allocated to a couple.

We chat about the fact that life doesn't just go on pause when we leave the house, so things will quite possibly get messy at home while we are away. As Mel says, so beautifully, kids still eat and play while we are away.

And we take a look at the invisible jobs that mums often do, hence the reason that most of the time when we go out, these jobs go unnoticed, and most of the time that's why we are left with them at the end of the day.

We share some communication tips around expectations. Yes, these conversations are sometimes awkward at the beginning but once we get clear on what we need while we are out, and our partner gets clear on some of the key important tasks that need to get done, we can all move on and have some fun!

Because really, that's the key here!

We are creating space in our week to have fun.

Day 4. Grab Your Keys and Go Challenge
Ok Recap Day Three...
Take a moment to see what is already good in your life, and if you are not there yet, be grateful for what you are about to bring in. It works the same.
Day 4. GRACIOUS EXIT

We are getting so close now. It's exciting but it can also be a little challenging!
You have something picked out, the reminder has already gone off, you have been focussing on what's possible and now the time is here.
It’s time to leave the mess, the busy household, the washing, the dishes, the children’s requests, the partners mood, your mood and move through the mother guilt, to make your way to your YES.
No matter what (unless a true emergency is occuring) you are making your gracious exit in this moment.
This is my favourite step, hear her story in the video below.
Nat and I get it. It's not always that easy, there are other things getting in the way of you saying YES to yourself.
So we put our heads together, our knowledge together, our talents together and our experiences, to invite you into a unique space.
A space for you to reconnect and remember who you are AND what you love, with support from a community of women cheering you on. Xx
It is still in creation, so we are on the lookout for founding members to help us with the finishing touches.

What was the problem for me you ask?
Well, before I became a mum I was prob a really good people pleaser, I already wasn't sure of my worth and I would often take others advice over my own knowledge.
And then when I became a mum, I got more and more lost as my attention turned to the children, good distraction method, so I thought.
I forgot I had a voice, I forgot I had needs, and on top of that I had no energy!
But having not much time to myself in those early days, is what actually got me thinking about what was important.
Those tiny pockets when the kids were asleep got me curious about how I wanted to spend that time.
And yep, I felt like I wasted it a bit at the beginning by defaulting to dishes, washing etc, or not knowing what to do in that time.
But eventually I started to bring things in. Like learning (one of my fav things to do), singing, running, beach walks, reading, going to the movies, meeting up with friends and the list goes on.
What's the saying...it doesn't happen overnight, but it will happen.
The biggest thing for me was remembering what I love, and then being part of a community that could help me get it.
The type of community that cheers you on, the type of community that supports you as you work through something that requires a bit of leaning into, the type of community that gets excited by the lessons learned as you pave a new way forward for yourself and the type of community that celebrates your wins!
As mothers who are passionate about this and have seen it work, Mel and I are creating a community of women that has all of this good stuff!
And we would love to invite you in as a founding member to help us shape this.
Don't worry we have the vision, it's rock solid, we just know the power of women together in a space, learning and growing through conversation.
Yep, I here you, it was calling me and it might be calling you too.
So let's get you back on your list, Grab your Keys and Go into a life that feeeeels good, no.... feeeeeeels incredible, and let's do it together.

Mel and I have been working on a little something in the background these past few months.
If you are in our world you may have heard us talking about it, and if you know us well you know how much we like to chat.
Both our hubbies can't believe that we still have things to say to each other when we literally saw each other the day before!
I love chatting with Mel , we do have lots of juicy things to say.
So, Yes you may have guessed right, our new podcast is about to be released next week, we are still busy adding the finishing touches.
It's called Grab Your Keys and Go.
It’s all about mumma’s getting out the door (or into a nice cosy arm chair) to do something they love.

Part 3

So we’ve conquered the money chat! (if you missed it check out Part 2)
Today is all about Mother Guilt.
What’s that you say?
Ok so maybe you have heard yourself say something like this?
‘What will happen if I am not there for the kids?’
'What if something goes wrong at home while I am away?
What if …....…needs me?
What if the routine goes out the window and the family loses?
Is it selfish to take this time out for myself, my kids deserve more of my attention?
But let me tell you dear mumma the mother guilt is a sneaky trickster, it disguises itself as concern and love, but often masks the truth that you are doing an incredible job.
And also that you can trust the beautiful relationships that you have built so that the kids feel safe and can trust themselves to work things out even when you are not there.

How do I get to Retreat? (and other things I love)

Part 2

Yesterday we got curious about things that can stop you from saying yes to yourself whether it’s about getting to a Retreat or sitting and reading a book there are things that you say to yourself that determine what it is you choose.

Today we are exploring money. Yep I said it!! It’s out there, the elephant in the room is on the move!

We have so many stories around money, believe me I have explored many of mine!

I think in the end it’s not really about the money, but let’s look at the obvious things we might say first.

‘I don’t have enough money’, ‘we don’t have enough money’, ‘Where would I find the money for that?’, ‘there is no way I can find the money for this because we have … this and this and this to pay’.

But maybe what we are really saying is…

‘What I want is not really that important’ and ‘Am I worth the effort?’

So maybe we could ponder this question instead?

How do I get to Retreat?....(and other things I love)

PART 1.

Mel and I know that everyone’s situation is different.
There are many things that stop women from saying YES to themselves.
Over the next week we are going to get curious about what some of these things are.
Let's start with ‘Time’.
For some women it’s about time - ‘I don’t have enough time’, ‘When I have time I just want to sit and do nothing’, ‘I have too many things to do’, ‘How would I be able to spend that much time away from my family?’
What I love to get curious about when I start thinking this way is....
'What is it that I need right now?'
'What can I start with?'
'What can I move around to clear the path for this?' 'Who can help me make this happen?'
We all have the same hours in our day, so it becomes about being intentional with how we use them, ...and when this time arrives in our space, often our energy is returned, because what we are doing feels sooooo good.

This is living right here. The ability to ‘be’.
To ‘be’ in this moment and feel the joy of that!!
Not having to ‘DO’ anything to like yourself.
And we know it can get hard to remember when you are in the hustle and bustle of life.
Soul Presence allows you the space to get quiet for a few days so that you can bring yourself back home.
Back home in your body, back home in your heart.
In the present moment is where you get to experience your life.
In the present moment you get to feel all the feelings of that moment.
And only then can you really feel truly alive.

Soul Presence Retreat is a 3 night stay because our Retreaters know what feels good.
After our first retreat our guests asked us to extend the Retreat by another day.
How could we say no.
Mel and I understand the power of the unfolding that occurs when you are given the opportunity of immersing yourself in an activity and then the space for reflection and integration.
‘It felt like a whole experience approach, without one or the other the elements might have not felt as impactful.’
‘Each practice allowed another layer to be explored and shed each moment allows another level of deep understanding and sharing to be expressed’
‘All parts uncovering the puzzle that is me.
They all have a role to play’
‘Each session cracked me open a little bit more so I could benefit even more from the next session.’
‘The power is in the collective’
Every part of the day has purpose and is selected with much thought as you go on your journey back to self. Each journey is unique to the individual.
A woman knows when she is being called.
