✅ Yes, we can now use interstate paediatricians & psychiatrists including for ADHD medication prescriptions
✅ Yes, if your child is on NDIS early childhood approach and has turned 6 years they will contact you about your child's access eligibility so be ready
❌ No, you don't always need a paediatrician to "sign off" on an autism diagnosis BUT this depends on what you're applying for AND who does the assessment
✅ Yes, you can self-refer your child to the WA Child Development Services for assessment and support (we have been on their waitlist for almost two years so good luck with that!)
❌ Paediatricians will not provide assessment and diagnosis of Specific Learning Disorders (SLDs) such as Dyslexia, Dyscalculia, Dysgraphia or Motor Dysgraphia, Developmental Language Disorder. These assessments are conducted by psychologists, speech pathologists or occupational therapists - depending on the concern / condition.
