I built a free clinical decision support tool for acupuncturists β would love feedback
Hey everyone β I'm Derek, AHPRA-registered acupuncturist from NSW, Australia. I've been building Medi-Chi (https://medichi.online) over the past year as a side project. You enter a Western condition, and it generates a full TCM treatment plan: pattern differentiation, point prescriptions with needling parameters, herbal formulas, and dietary recommendations. Every recommendation comes with PubMed citations pulled in real time β no made-up references.
It currently supports 14 acupuncture styles (Classical, Master Tung, Sa-am, Balance Method, Japanese, Jin Three-Needle, Esoteric, and more), has an AI tongue diagnosis feature, herb-drug interaction checking, and a 50-chapter Nèi Jīng study module. There's also a practitioner dashboard for managing patient cases and tracking treatments. Free tier gives you access to the reference tools; Premium unlocks the AI diagnosis engine.
I built it because I got tired of flipping between textbooks, PubMed, and my notes during clinic. It's not meant to replace clinical judgment β it's a second opinion that shows its sources. Would genuinely appreciate any feedback from practitioners who try it out. What's useful? What's missing? Happy to answer questions. π
